Laughing as I picture spez and company trying to figure out what percentage of reddit is porn

It was scared and pulled in a little while the person was biting. Then it popped back out.

Yes. I need to try one of these, wherever it may be.

Stopping and assessing every interaction is a very good way to gain the automatic self-awareness that will help you resolve the overall issue that you express.

I love Linux and have been using it religiously since 1998. But, hell for me would be to be seated in front of a PC for eternity, being forced to learn gimp and emacs.

Edit: I’ll know for sure that I’m in hell in a quadrillion years when I finally learn them (assuming i have the same adhd/dyslexia addled mind lol), and they then force me to use emacs to create new, more convoluted versions, of gimp and emacs.

I’d rather have that over sitting in traffic driving to a soul devouring corporate job due to RTO

Having read their book a couple of times, I’m not sure their own God would enjoy their architecture very much. Considering we still have a lot of poor people and other issues that they could have been fixing all of these years with their money and time, rather than actively crusading against many of them.

Every person that votes against companies with their wallets makes a dent. I think the economy is helping by making more people HAVE to start making some tough spending decisions. Companies are pretty stupid to not be considering that as they continue to try to fuck people over more each day.

[-] ghostrider2112@lemmy.world 33 points 3 months ago

That’s pretty fucked up. I would add them to the list of companies that I will no longer patronize, but they there were already there for being gross in other ways.

Yep. I’m almost 50 and have tried my best to help those around me see a better way. I’ve always voted. I did my part, but half the country still wants this shit. So, my wife and I are retiring early, peacing out, and letting ya’ll figure it out for yourselves. Good luck!

There’s plenty we can do about it. For instance, my wife and I just put an offer on a house in Europe and will be leaving ASAP.

When I ended up at Reddit 16 years ago after Digg, I don’t recall it being a huge community immediately. I think it helped that there weren’t subreddits yet. So, probably seemed like more people. I think it took a couple of years for the transition to hit critical mass.
