Pretty fucked up that the SpaceX Starship is succeeding using all the same principles that the American π₯πΊπΈ pigs mocked the Soviet N1 Moon Rocket for (except 60 years later) including hot staging, 36 small engines, etc
If the Soviets had better computers, would the N1 have succeeded? I know the Energia (fully reusable Buran shuttle booste stages) was a generational leap over the NASA shuttle and actually flew but the N1 never made it to orbit because it was trying to manage 35 engines with simultaneously with a vacuum tube computer.
