Yeah I feel like this runs into the typical problem: you need so much rubber that the weight of the band itself is much much much higher than that of the rocket. So you need to add more rubber band for the rubber band, for which you need to add more rubber band again...

The same as why you can't build infinitely high buildings. The materials are just to heavy compared to their strength

You can't lose stuff you bought just because the publisher shut down the servers.

I mean that's exactly how it works right now. And depending on the exact wording of any laws passed as a result of this petition only the game itself or some or all micro transactions will have to be made available after official support ends.

Public servers will either sell micro transactions themselves to finance servers or make all in game content available to everyone for free. I can see publishers having a problem with that.

Most likely, if they are forced to allow public servers after they shut down the official ones, they will pull some other bullshit. Like claim the game is still available, but the 300$ cosmetics you bought are not allowed on public servers because they are separate from the game.

Well if you operate a death machine it would be realy nice if you could follow the rules and not kill somebody. Of course the rules should be reasonable but being unable to follow them means you should not be operating a death machine

You most likely pay for a maximum CPU capacity and your Server cant go above that no matter what you run. Your vps provider doesn't care what that CPU power is used for.

However with limited resources, the tarpit might use up all CPU power and the rest of the webserver will crawl to a halt.

Yes, the country known for driving scooters instead of cars will start buying SUVs that don't even fit the streets in many cities

Pretty sure secure boot is a UEFI feature so if the board only supports BIOS then there is no secure boot anyway.

JKR can't write a consistent world that makes sense either.

Well Hitler was nominated too. Sarcastically, by an anti-fashist, but he was nominated.

So one more thing they have in common now.

Well a lot of people who got one were actively involved in a war or would be not to long after receiving the price.

Also Hitler was nominated for a Nobel peace price. Yes it was by a Swedish anti-fashist as satire/protest, but Trump wouldnt understand satire.

Yes. But none of that is in the way of "the Linux desktop". A more unified system with less modules and components (you know, like systemd being a solution to everything) is actually beneficial for wide spread adoption.

People hate systemd for design and philosophy but not because it keeps new people from adopting Linux.
