I think this is a good definition: http://shitpost.urbanup.com/11938797

Honestly, I don't understand people who post "normal" stuff here. Aren't there more suitable places? Or is it to maximize reach or fake internet point gathering?

I feel like your title, text and spoiler are talking about three different things. There are many types of anxiety that can be tackled differently.

You already got good tips for most, so I'm going to concentrate on your spoiler text: When you are too high, I recommend chewing coffee beans. They act calming on those cases.

As for your existential anxiety: You might want to continue that train of thought to it's conclusion: Eventually everything ceases to exist. Nothing is permanent. Everything is in flow. All that is, all that matters, is now. This moment. And all you need to do is live it.

I don't think you can say anything to him that will convince him. The more you will try to convince him the more resistance you'll get. That's just how it is with media. You can't make people like it, if they aren't up for it. Maybe try again in a year or two

Interesting, so it's a nod to the real 007 fans!

Dude looks more like Ethan Hunt than James Bond. Why did they give him a huge scar on his face?

I had that thought still in bed, to be honest

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Lots of rock songs, even from supposedly family friendly bands like The Beatles, I can't listen to anymore, because it's too creepy.

Sounds like a good time to start your own business, creating a stable, no-bullshit version of whatever these companies produce

I love blues and blues rock, but the lyrics are often full of misogyny, unfortunately. Same with rap. Some I can't listen to anymore because of that, but some I give the benefit of the doubt, if that makes sense. They feel like they are using a misogynistic language, but aren't actually saying anything misogynistic.

Oh and then there are these really sad and self depreciating songs I used to love, when I was more emo, like Creep. I still love the sound, but I can't connect with the lyrics anymore. I'm basically only listening to them, when I'm down and even then I'm basically ignoring the content and focus on the vibes.

Yeah, the power scaling broke it for me, too. The magic system is certainly imaginative, but it feels so arbitrary! It's so stylish, but I just can't get invested in anything that happens, because it never feels like it was earned.

Solo Leveling. I think after seeing so many recommendations (and better animes) I expected too much of it. It's just a very basic Isekai with flat, tropey characters and boring art style. It has some really cool fight scenes, I'll give it that. Forced myself to watch the first season to the end in the faint hope it'll do something interesting, but nope.

I guess it's watchable if you're looking for a simple power fantasy and don't mind tropes.

Oh, that's one of the lesser known Ed Wood movies! So you know what you're getting into trying to watch this.

Edit: I'm not actually opposed to watching movies with directors cuts. Just realized I love watching ridiculously long video essays about movies, but almost never watch directors commentaries. Not sure why, probably availability.

Also I heightened the phrasing for comedic purposes ;)

"An archaeology professor discovers an ancient crypt which contains living dead corpses. The zombies go on a rampage and attack a group of people which the professor had invited to celebrate his discovery."

This is my favorite b movie of all time. Got it on VHS from an older friend for 5€ when I was in "high school". Its German title is "Rückkehr der Zombies", which means "Return of the Zombies". Here is what the cover looked like, roughly. It's an incredible mix of bad acting, nonsensical setups, confused pacing and surprisingly good makeup and gore. The best part is the kid, who is supposed to be a teenager at most, but is clearly played by a small adult (see here).

If you are a fan of b movies, especially Horror and splatter, this is a must see!

(Also: I love this community!)

N64's F-Zero X had some bangers! 🤘

Just to be clear: I saw this meme over at Lemmy Shitpost and had to repost it here...

"The Logical Song" is a song by English rock group Supertramp that was released as the lead single from their album Breakfast in America in March 1979. It was written primarily by the band's Roger Hodgson, who based the lyrics on his experiences being sent away to boarding school for ten years. Wikipedia
