I'm still about 8 or 9 cards away. Based on my luck with pulling new cards recently, it will only take another couple of years to get them.

I played it for the first time about 10 years ago on a SNES emulator (because it kept on popping up in "best game of all time" lists), and I wasn't disappointed. Well, I don't think it is the best game ever, but I really enjoyed it, so I don't think it's a game that's propped up only by nostalgia.

37h, but I'm an employee, not a business owner. I can see how running your own business, you could end up racking up loads of hours - but you also get to set your own salary to a degree

Others followed suit, though the merchandise was still somewhat available. However, newer merchandise wouldn't be sold. When Pokémon Go! was released, it was banned when the original fatwa was renewed in Saudi Arabia. The fatwa declared that the game promoted polytheism, gambling and evolution.

I know you're kind of a big thing in the fediverse - do you know why I can't see your comment from lemmy.funami.tech but I can from feddit.uk? I've noticed that stuff is pretty slow in appearing with my funami.account, and my guess is that it's somehow not as well federated because it's smaller.

Yeah, absolutely sucks for all the burned cards. I think I lost a couple of ex cards that way when they first launched trading, so not the worst, but probably some people will be pretty annoyed

On the plus side, shinedust is so easy to collect, so you'll rpobably have loads again soon. I also thought shinedust wouldn't have any other use, but I still couldn't be bothered flairing any cards
