The great thing about Florida is that the people voted to give them the right to vote back after prison but Republicans in the state's Congress hated that and did everything they could to stop it.

While voting rights CAN be restored, they ensured that the process to accomplish it was a Byzantine maze that could not be navigated. I don't just mean it's hard, I mean it's impossible because some of the requirements can't be met (eg they can't pay all court costs if the government doesn't know, or won't say, the amount owed).

Fuck the will of the people I guess.

"Price said she learned police had visited the home at least five times within the past year. "The landlord even told [police] she had new tenants," she said."

They knew and they went for it anyway. Typical.

In February, far-right settlers went on a rampage in the West Bank town of Huwara torching dozens of houses and cars. Following the violence, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called for Huwara to be “wiped out”.

Hmmm, I wonder what happened to the people rampaging in the town.

Israel’s military called the settler attack on this Palestinian town a ‘pogrom.’ Videos show soldiers did little to stop it

The IDF said in a statement to CNN that dozens of Israelis had “desecrated Palestinian property” and “acted violently against Palestinian residents” on February 26, but only several were arrested. All were released without charges.

Not surprising, Netanyahu was facing fairly large protests against his authoritarian actions before the war started. Protests against Israel’s judicial overhaul kick off at Supreme Court a day before crucial hearing. This was 11 September 2023, just 3 weeks before the war escalated.

Feds Investigating Drug-Planting Allegations Involving NYPD Officers

Seems to be a problem throughout the New York LE community. Hell, maybe it's a problem in a lot more places than just New York.

I found this interesting article when trying to understand why he's doing what he's doing with Twitter. What was Elon Musk’s strategy for Twitter? - NBC News

On the day that public records revealed that Elon Musk had become Twitter’s biggest shareholder, an unknown sender texted the billionaire and recommended an article imploring him to acquire the social network outright.

Musk’s purchase of Twitter, the 3,000-word anonymous article said, would amount to a “declaration of war against the Globalist American Empire.” The sender of the texts was offering Musk, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, a playbook for the takeover and transformation of Twitter....

The text messages described a series of actions Musk should take after he gained full control of the social media platform: “Step 1: Blame the platform for its users; Step 2: Coordinated pressure campaign; Step 3: Exodus of the Bluechecks; Step 4: Deplatforming.”

That pressure campaign is against the Anti Defamation League which Musk has been trying to do.

So I guess he's doing it all for far right adulation.

What was Elon Musk’s strategy for Twitter?

Well, he is kinda following a random message he got from an unknown person:

The three texts were sent on April 4, 2022. In the nearly 18 months since then, many of the decisions Musk made after he bought Twitter appear to have closely followed that road map, up to and including his ongoing attacks against the Anti-Defamation League, a nonprofit organization founded by Jewish Americans to counter discrimination.

The text messages described a series of actions Musk should take after he gained full control of the social media platform: “Step 1: Blame the platform for its users; Step 2: Coordinated pressure campaign; Step 3: Exodus of the Bluechecks; Step 4: Deplatforming.”

Seems he's killing it to get cheers and adulation from the far right.

Is it actually culture shock or is he just glad that it's so familiar?

“A thing about campaigns is sometimes you just do things for the lolz,” Rob Flaherty, a deputy Biden campaign manager, wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, of the decision to join Truth Social.

This guy knows what's up.

Just holy shit.

Judge Lawrence Flood ruled Thursday there was probable cause for the officers to fire their weapons, and that "The officers are not the aggressors."

Surveillance camera footage

  • Unmarked squad car rolls up on two guys
  • One of two thinks it's gang members, raises hands, one hand has wine and cell phone other hand is empty. Other guy(with gun)runs.
  • Cops start blasting
  • Running guy shoots back
  • Unarmed guy gets shot by cops
  • Police lie by saying both guys shot at them first *Video shows that cops lied
  • Cops on trial
  • Cops acquitted "The officers are not the aggressors."
  • Cops now seeking back pay since they weren't paid while on trial

It sure looks like the cops were the aggressors to me.

He's using a metric clock, they were really popular in France in the 1790s for some reason.

He said approvals on a case by case basis so I could totally see him trying to make it work that way.
