Specially the part about him not doing it for money. He was just intellectually curious and wanted to see if he could do it. Same reason a lot of us enjoy programming at home.

I believe you, and I have many examples from my own life where girls are outsmarting guys because they are forced to use their brains. Guys sometimes doesn't because we can just use strength instead, like you said.

And being smaller and more agile is a huge plus in most situations as well.

Pretty much agree 100%.

Doesn't matter to them what you think, since they can simply buy any good alternative that show up.

Basically these companies are similar to kings now. They own our services and our data. And the peasants may whine a bit but can do nothing.

At least on Lemmy we are left alone for now.

Poeple think they are sharing their enormous profits with creators. Maybe they get a few bucks from the billions.

I would expect that software to be very well tested. Not like Microsoft Windows. :)

I feel like schools today are mad houses, because teachers are not allowed to have any authority anymore. And then on top of that, you have insane kids with weapons running around. I think humanity has lost the plot.

I know there are good kids too though. And I guess you wouldn't be a teacher if there wasn't.

I think deep learning is quite technical, so... :)

As long as high physical strength is not required, I strongly agree. These days the need for that is becoming less and less unless you want to be a marine.

Don't you love the term "well adjusted" :)

Always makes me smile.

That's like the coolest thing. I hope you feel super welcome here.

I'm technical. But I would love to hear from people who aren't. It's impressive for someone who isn't technical to be on Lemmy I think.

Oh you mean Reddit? :)

I don't know, I actually like it... I want to see reddit burn. But sure, maybe people could post it in the proper community and not all over technology...
