South Korea's military confirmed on Wednesday that North Korea had sent over more than 260 balloons carrying feces and trash to the South on Tuesday night, marking the largest-ever daily balloon launch from the North.

Some balloons were still airborne on Wednesday morning.

North Korean defector groups occasionally launch balloons containing materials denouncing the Kim Jong-un regime.

Tuesday's incident of launching “dirty balloons” is not unprecedented. A similar event occurred in 2016 when North Korea sent balloons packed with cigarette butts and used toilet paper.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged Western leaders to pressure Russia into peace using "all means" necessary.

Mr Zelensky has long said he will not negotiate with Russia directly until Moscow's forces leave all Ukrainian territory, including Crimea.

His call, however, comes as Russia makes gains against Ukraine, with Kyiv suffering from a shortage of Western-supplied weapons.

I wanted to write "evil dream entities" the first few times, but now I'm thinking why would they be evil? It's not their fault or choice they feed on fear, the lion isn't evil for being a carnivore and feeding on the gazelle (yeah, there was no metaphor I could think of in which the supposed dream entities aren't the predator lol). The firepower imbalance might prove decisive as the battle rages on.
