In May 2023, Biden replaced Title 42 with another harsh set of regulations, increasing requirements for migrants to be eligible for asylum. Throughout his presidential tenure, Biden has also increased funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and expanded ICE contracts and ICE surveillance programs.
