It isn't just that things are too far to walk, it's that American car companies have made it part of our culture to own and drive, and it's unpatriotic to do otherwise. That causes a severe lack of public transportation and sidewalks and bike lanes. So because of all this, I have to drive a mile through my neighborhood to get to a 7-Eleven that would be a quarter mile if I walked.

Where I live, there are people who make a decent amount of cash by grabbing whatever metal they can find out of the trash and taking it to scrapyards. There are a couple of trucks that swing past my house a few times the night before and the day of trash pickup. And myself, I grabbed two bikes by just knocking on the door and asking.

They're deflecting everybody's attention so the admiral can pee of the other side of the boat.

Unfortunately, he worked in a school district setting the routes busses take.

My mom told me that Dad went to work to make money, and I actually expected to see money making machines when I visited him at the office.

I'm looking for a general market. Nothing that specific.

Is the pay better? Is the amount of BS from management lower? How about the customers?

Doesn't matter what they are eating. Their mouth is open and they are mouth breathing as they chew.

I struggle with suicidal ideation problems. They have been so severe in the past that I almost went through it. While not all suicidal scenes trigger me, there are a few. And I have found that having the warnings help me from shutting off the TV and running off in a crying fit. I know it's coming and can prepare myself. And knowing that the hotline is there has been one of the most comforting things I know of. I may have never called, but it's there for when I can't deal on my own. So yes, the warnings make a positive difference for me.

The store I have been at lately has welcomed the idea of more RPGs played there for some time. He got me on the store's discord so I could find and chat with players. There was a push for some time, but folks have been rather silent about TTRPGs.

That's what I have been doing, trying to run games.

Lately, I have been having a problem with finding in-person players. I have visited shops to find them full of Magic and other TCG players, but no role-players. Several game stores in my area are like this. I have posted on relevant socials and Discords like the Discord server for a game store, local area RPG players Discord and FB pages, LFG groups on reddit and Lemmy and Discord. I'm wondering if anybody else has this problem, and how are you trying to solve this?

For some years now, I have been using Laravel Homestead to quickly build up a virtual machine with all I needed installed. But it seems to not quite get the love it needs, and I'm wondering if folks have moved on to a different environment or tool for their development.

I've been writing a game based around super humans, and I need some people to help out with play testing my character creation. Here is a link to all the files in a Google Drive. Please read the README file and get the feedback form when you are done. Thank you all

I'm building out an e-commerce frontend for the ERP my company uses, and I am being slightly lazy while working on the shopping cart to start. I've noticed in many other stores guest carts, or not having to be logged in to purchase. How necessary is it to have guest shopping?

I volunteer for Yankee Air Museum in Michigan. We had the only flying MiG-23 in American airspace perform at our airshow, but engine troubles caused a crash. Nobody hurt, and that was a major miracle. A very populated region, and a busy highway meant the chance of injury was super high. But the plane came down in an abandoned golf course and stopped next to an apartment building.

Going to start play testing some parts of my game, and I am going to need to gather feedback. Anybody for a good feedback system I can look at? Documents offer forms? Thanks.
