It's not that he has a Grindr profile. It's about old pictures sent from an old Grindr account, that someone anonymously sent to the government. No one knows what the pictures are yet, so the speculation goes that they must have been pretty nasty if it was such a big deal. If they are just normal nudes or sex tapes, then I think the government was homophobic.
Just because an interviewer brings up a point doesn't mean they agree with it.
