That's what I thought but there's slightly more than that.

The writer tried to trick ChatGPT 5, saying Vermont has no R in it. ChatGPT did say "wait, it does". But then when pushed it said, "oh right there is no R in Vermont".

I mean... the inability to know what it knows or not is a real problem for most use cases...

It will also give Azerbaijan another route to send natural gas by pipeline to Europe via Turkiye, while bypassing Georgia, a Russian ally.

In what universe is Georgia a Russian ally?!

The entire article is bonkers, but thanks for posting it. I wouldn't have known about the agreement otherwise.

Netanyahu is a terrible human being but an amazing politician.

In Israel all governments are coalition governments, and as Netanyahu got less and less mainstream support he tacked further and further to the right, joining with crazy religious fundamentalists because that was the only way to stay in power.

My understanding is that very shortly after losing power he will end up in court on corruption charges, and maybe die in prison. Not because of crimes against humanity, but for crimes against Israel.

The maximum is 61%, which doesn't seem that high to me. It means 3 of 5 Democrats trust the most trusted source.

Much more important to me is that the Republicans basically only have one news source that they trust: Fox News.

The distrust of the news is a great tool for fascists, because in a post-truth world they can just substitute whatever nonsensical, hate-filled ideas they want for reality.

I have not heard about Switzerland, but this is true in Finland and Denmark at least.

It helps to be aware of things the capital class does to try to divide workers.

For example any story about generation gaps.

It's also good to support less wealthy workers when you realize that you are all workers. Join a union even if you're well-paid and relatively safe.

Tech industry folks realizing that they are not in the capital class should be welcomed, not blocked by gatekeeping.

There's a lot!
