That one comment in the screenshot does have a smaller font size. I don't think I've seen that, at least that I've noticed. I opened that post on my phone and the comments all seemed to be the same size. I think we're using the same font size settings as well so I'm not sure why the variance. Just to confirm, you're on v1.0.275?

I thought a surprise attack would increase the damage as well. But this isn't like DnD or something. I couldn't find anything supporting my assumption with a quick search either.

The font size was increased slightly app-wide, I think to address readability that someone raised. There are a few settings that you can adjust. The first is the "Text size option", which you'll find by scrolling down a bit on the Settings page. I think bumping it down to 0.875 will bring it back to the old font size. You may find that makes the comment text size smaller, which you can change by tapping on "Comment Customization" in Settings. There's also a text size adjustment for post titles in "Post Customizations."

That's my experience with list view though. If you use card view, I'm not sure if they were different.

Yeah, I would use a levitation potion and wait until it ran out so I would fall directly down the well.

Something related I learned is plunging down without any aid on the first or second floor. The damage is minimal and you should be able to recover the loss easily in the beginning. Just make sure you have like 3/4 health. It's a bit riskier on the second floor because you could get unlucky with crabs or champions on the third floor, if you haven't healed up before exiting the room.

Your normal weapon damage doesn't list surprise attack damage either. But I am making the assumption that there's extra damage with a surprised lunge since that may simply not be the case.

Regardless, there's still use for lunging through doors. Because of the fast movement of crabs, sometimes the only way to lunge at a crab is by backing out of the doorway and then lunging. It's also useful against projectile champions. By lunging through and then backing behind the door, you'll get a surprise attack in versus waiting for it to reach the doorway.

Either I didn't read that or forgot about it. Thrown weapons seem fine to me so I'm curious how they'll change. And this isn't like a tweak but a more comprehensive overhaul.

Doesn't that increase the attack lunge does?

Personally, I'm flexible with changes to the challenges but I imagine some might be up in arms if changes were made here. Maybe as additions; we've been getting new classes and mobs, why not challenges? I think I like Curses the most but this just empowers the cleric even more and I'm of the opinion that the class should be taken down a peg or two. Hostile Lands seems like a good newbie challenge but could also be annoyingly run-ending early on. I would think the mage would be, next to hunter, best suited for Fragile. Duelist tears.

To be fair, when you're playing multi-challenges, particularly 9, the other classes get crippled as well; not just warrior. Barren Land and hunter for example. But I agree, warrior is pretty decent without FIMA.

I don't think much will change since the dev has mentioned the game isn't really balanced for multi-challenges. But he was open to tweaking the warrior after the rework and now is probably a good time to tighten the class. So maybe if you present a more thorough case, something could change.

After you opt to join, the prompt window in the Play Store mentions it takes some time to get enrolled. Usually it's a couple of minutes but sometimes it takes a few hours.

This was an issue in v1.0.269. It has been fixed so you just need to update the app. You may need to join the beta if you don't see an update option. Joining the beta can be done on the Play Store or App Store of your device.

It seems if this specific change was intended as a buff, it may be a bit of a nerf. Now, when you have just a few points of shielding after a fight, you hold a meagre shield rather than going into reset right away. On the other hand, if you had most of your shielding in tact, that means the fight was ideal and minimal damage was sustained. And you would get a reduced immediate cooldown previously. It just seems like the worser case scenario got worse and the better one got rewarded.

Just thought I'd provide some feedback and I'm not looking for any change or reversal. It was manageable before and I'll manage with the current mechanics.

I'm not sure what that Unicode is called but it reminds me of blinds. I kind of dismissed the first instance in the screenshot but them I saw the issue in a post title. Links for the two instances.

Also, can you add saving of alt text to drafts? Please and thank you's. As well, when editing, you can't edit alt text?

Started seeing this every now and then on v251. Previously I don't recall seeing this. It only occurs when a profile picture has issues loading and typically is temporary; the error is removesd once the link resolves. Before it's resolved, it can be a hindrance.

I support apps being more verbose and error messages but in this particular case, I don't think the error message is necessary; if the a profile picture link doesn't resolve, so be it. Maybe on an user profile page, it may be more of a consideration.

Was working in a recent version but now everything opens in the internal browser. I'm on v247.

EDIT: For posts with links where the thumbnail is not resolving, the link goes to the external browser. For everything else, it opens in the internal browser; with the open external setting on.

Previously, if you triggered dart traps in a trap-filles room, as an example, the timing of events worked in a way that if you scooted out of the room before time resumed, you would be hit by all those darts. Basically, when time resumed, the events that played out would play out as they did and you would be triggering those darts in plain view of them.

I remember the timing of events were change somewhat recently so I wondered if things have changed and they have. I was able to time-stop, throw some rations at dart traps and then darted put of the room before time resumed, walking away unscathed. So just an FYI for older players.

It was working in a recent version but I no longer see the highlighting in v244&245. Tried toggling the setting on and back on but nada.

First and foremost, I'm really glad this feature has finally been added. Many have requested and it's here. Unfortunately, it's not fully baked yet.

Filters(keyword), MultiCommunities, and user notes are not exported in v244. Domain and other filters may also not be exported; I didn't have those so I'm not sure if they get exported.

So whatever you do, don't go clearing the app cache and expect everything to be saved when you import. Like I did. I only have myself to blame for testing freshly implemented features on beta builds. Losing my user notes hurt.

I was looking at this thread and, at the time of this post, it's supposed to have 41 comments but Connect only showed a handful. Opening the post in a browser shows the missing comments, some of which were moderated and removed. One comment, that had a long chain, was removed but many of its replies were not and shows up in the browser. Not sure if the moderation action is the cause of Connect not showing the chain or maybe because it's long?

Recently, I noticed the keyboard would sometimes pop up at random times and I finally figured out reproducible steps.

Search any community from the sidebar and tap on it. Tap on a post and then tap and hold the screen, sliding it to the right. The keyboard should popup for some reason, even though there is no input field on-screen(after the post view is off-screen). This only seems to happen if the search field in the sidebar has text inputted. I was wondering why the heck the keyboard keeps popping up.

Pinned posts were showing up at the top of communities a couple of versions back ~~but they're following your sort settings in v241.~~ And I think a few versions prior as well.

EDIT: Ah, so they're actually showing up at the bottom of page 1. They don't follow your sort settings and enabling the page number setting revealed that specific.

I'm not sure what the trigger is for this but it seems to occur after a couple hours of not using Connect. So sometimes when I view posts in a community, the vote count for it is around half of the actual count when I go back to viewing the community page. If I open the community in my browser, the current vote count indicates the community view in Connect is up to date. I can view other posts or go back into affected posts and the count will be incorrect.

I think viewing other subscribed communities will also not fix the problem. It is corrected when I view one of my feeds and then go back to the posts. I've only noticed this happening with the Canada community on Lemmy.ca, so it may be community specific but I suspect it's not and my other subscribed communities aren't as active to test.

I've only noticed this recently, so maybe it's only been introduced in to last couple of updates, or it's been longer and I haven't paid attention.

Am I remembering wrong or one of the patches made it so the censer would not fire off in shops? Thankfully the fire didn't reach the shopkeeper or break any items. Curiously it hovered over the bombs but they didn't explode. Worked out in my favor.
