It's actually pretty common in LA for those trees to be trimmed like that. I have no idea how "healthy" it is for them, but they don't die, at least. And the canopies regrow just fine. I wouldn't be surprised if it was causing some harm, but in this case, it's a pretty standard trim.

The irony is that true liberalism is made up of many of the same ideals that those on the right claim to fight for.

I have no idea where TF2 should fall, but I will say that for a simple-seeming blocky building game, Minecraft has a shocking amount of lore.

If you are in the United States, you are giving your money to Hershey for Kit Kat; it is licensed from Nestlé based on a previous deal with the original owner of the brand. I don't know the exact details of the contract, but it appears that it was a lump sum payment which means no money goes to Nestlé for Kit Kat sales in the US.

Still, Hershey is not much better, and this factoid is irrelevant if you are NOT buying the US version. Similar options include Tim Tam, Double Time, Dido, Trader Joe's Wafer Cookie, Milka Leo or Choco Wafer, Little Secrets Crispy Wafers, and any number of other generic chocolate wafers. While companies today are certainly overzealous in their drive for growth, it is a myth that infinite economic growth is impossible. It is not only possible but necessary: https://medium.com/@oliverwaters_76079/the-strange-necessity-of-infinite-economic-growth-ebc2e505cdf1
