Others have explained that it depends on when, but I want to add this: when a VP becomes pres. through succession, the speaker does not become VP automatically. The new pres. picks whoever they want. Ford chose the governor of NY, for example.

I always forget that Windows Server even exists, because the name is so stupid. "windows" should mean "gui ~~interface~~ to os."

edit: fixed redundacy.

If they do it, it will be by suspending the constitution entirely. Don't need any states for that.

The fact that the reporting is lopsided does not mean both side are biased. The actual event can have been lopsided, and then one of the media sides is being impartial.

I'm not saying that's what happened, I don't know what "really" happened. Neither do you.

In the 1930s a large majority of the german people wanted Hitler to lead them. That didn't mean that the german jews or gays or the poles or anyone else deserved what happened to them.

He can't be president, and I don't see him interested in any other position.

Agreed. But you don't have to go that far to make rain and snow transparent. And radar might not be a bad idea to have on self driving cars, as long as it's not the only thing.

LiDAR can be done with different wavelengths. It should be possible to make one that can see through rain and snow.

Anyone bitten by ~~a wild~~ an animal should be treated for rabies. To wait for the animal to be tested, quickly or slowly, is just foolish. This animal could have been quarantined and observed without any danger to the bite victim.

edit: the animal needn't be wild, just as this one was not.

When I subscribe to someone's youtube channel through Newpipe, does their subscriber count on youtube go up? Or is subscribing just telling Newpipe to bookmark that content for me, but doesn't tell youtube anything?

The reason I ask is because the subscriber count on youtube could be an underestimate that way.

Just down and left of bee butt you can see a nice Monarch caterpillar!

Thanks so much to all of you for creating this community and for bringing it to the fediverse!

And oh yeah, Ahrrrr!

My instance has downvoting enabled, but I've learned that some other instances do not. Do the vote totals look different to users on different instances? It seems like some users on instances that don't allow downvoting are unaware that it's not the same lemmy-wide. It would be pretty confusing for them to see their vote go down.

I'm looking for rusticgorilla specifically, but would love to find poemforyoursprog as well.

Who are some other redditors you have found / would like to find here?

It was in the last place I looked.
