Stopping the use of a word that’s hit Kleenex level of saturation is a bigger deal than overturning 175 thousand bullshit convictions? That’s a hot take

You….want them to be able to sell out in the future?

Are they? I got a 3% ‘raise’ again this year and that doesn’t seem like it’s keeping up with inflation. And yes yes get a different job, blah blah.

Disproportionate representation can be kind of a bummer for the under represented folks. Get rid of the senate and remove the cap on the house!

The AI team knows Google would just kill off the Reddit clone within 18 months if they went that route.

This is one of the most enjoyable posts I’ve read on Lemmy, thank you for writing it up!

100% agreed. He’s one of those ‘least worst’ options at this point which is never a good feeling.

I don’t care for him or his politics but he overwhelmingly supported Biden’s judges and helped keep the Senate blue so I guess I’ll miss him haha.

FWIW they semi opened it in 2013 and then fully opened design spec patents for the charger last year, and are working to get it set as a public standard for North America.

Came across this fix for an issue apparently a decent number of people with especially the i5-6600K are having where the game will freeze for a few seconds every couple of minutes. Get an app called Battle Encoder Shirase, run it, target starfield.exe, and set your CPU limit to -8%. I tried it out and didn't get a single freeze for the hour I played after testing!

RIP to my browser history. It looks like it scales with size but donkeys on average are 100-200 mL and horses are more in the 200-400mL. So, you know, up to a can of soda worth worth…

We have a little free library out front and someone ding dong dashed this + a bag of books at our house this afternoon. Have to imagine it’s a teen who’s parent saw how many books were on the shelf and doesn’t realize I have a whole bookcase in the garage full of stuff to rotate in that I never have space for haha

After finally getting everyone online and characters built tonight, we played for way too long before trying to save and ran into a bug which apparently a decent number of people are having. Probably worth just turning off cloud sync for now as we just lost a couple hours of playtime (and learned which person in our group shouldn't be the host and in charge of frequent saving.)

Hey all! My wife and I got a puppy a few months ago and I was curious your thoughts on how much she should dictate her walk. She's about 6 months old now and 2/3 German Shepard so she's already a big girl and will happily go on hour+ walks, but sometimes when we're doing random around the blocks walks she'll grab the leash in her mouth and want to take herself home.

For example this morning we did one long block circle and I was planning to go past our street and walk for at least 30 minutes, but at 12 minutes in we passed our street, she snagged the leash, and indicated heavily that she wanted to go home. We walked the five houses with the leash in her mouth the whole time and got up to our front door before dropping it and sitting down.

I don't mind in theory, but I'm worried she won't be getting enough exercise. Is this something I should trust her on, or should I plan more to do larger circles out so she doesn't have the opportunity to try and make this choice? This is my first dog since I was a kid, 20+ years ago, so I'm not super up on everything yet.
