Cool tech, but what's the intended use case for the end product? Or is there no use case until it's as good as a human?

People will and are buying it anyway. It will go on sale very soon once sales slow down. They know it isn't worth that much, but they know idiots will buy it anyway.

Then once it's 10, 20, 30, 40, 50% off, people will think they are getting a deal, even though it still isn't worth that much. Rockstar know exactly what they are doing.

Obsidian but with syncthing here, just syncs the files across my devices.

You don't need the extra do in the do-do scenarios.

"You do do that though" "You do that though"

Rail takes up some space, but only at terminating stations. The tracks themselves for 99% of the journey are much more space efficient than roads. We can't compare factorio to real life aha, we are transporting people instead of cargo and over much larger distances.

Besides, USA has a lot of space, that wasn't really the issue, it was the spending of money on the wrong infrastructure.

Yeah, I mean that's where the money should be spent, not on highway changes.

Buses dont need multi-lane highways and massive interchanges, neither do trains...

I'm terribly sorry to tell you this, but it's not just whales anymore, it's a majority of people. Nearly everyone I come across in games has some sort of $20+ skin. The whales just moved on to spending more, but so did everyone else.

The newer generations dont know any different, this is the norm for them.

[–] warm@kbin.earth 17 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

People buy the skins. They actually spend money on this stuff. Crazy right?!

So what are corporations going to do? They are going to slowly increase the price, see what they can get away with. Paid cosmetics started as microtransactions, $0.01 to $5, but have since ballooned into a $20-50 normality with them being way way up into the hundreds in some cases. It's ridiculous, but it's all because people actually buy this stuff...

Yeah, there's so many games now, I can easily fill time before games are actually in a release state... a year after they actually released.

If they add denuvo they are clearly not very confident their game is worth the price they are asking, so why should we believe it's worth that much?

[–] warm@kbin.earth 38 points 3 weeks ago (5 children)

Most games with denuvo are not even worth playing. If you are scared of piracy, then your game fucking sucked to begin with.

Devs should be recording the questions they answer and then put it all in a blog post.
