Specifically if something has built pressure inside, it would appear.

We have a concept of word inflection, which can be used to replace a lot of words that English would use to denote something being a question, ownership markers, causes and effects etc.

Compounds are fun too, since you can do chaining:

Viskibassokitaravahvistinpiiri

Whisky base guitar amplifier circuit

Epäjärjestelmällistyttämättömyydelläänsäkäänköhän.

It's the longest word you can make in Finnish without using compounds, which can be infinite length.

It means, very loosely translated "I wonder if the outcome was a result of their lack of ability to cause others to be disorganized. "

I know, Finnish is an enviable language.

Tldr: agricultural use of antifungals has led to up to 88% of one common disease causing fungi to become resistant to them.

There are very few antifungal drug classes and greed ruined them.

In TNG Wesley has a hard time getting into the academy and one of the other applicants is a genius in his own right.

I feel like there was some affirmative action going on.

True or not, I would argue.

200 billion? The people's liberation army is about 2 million strong so that would make 100k per person for salary, side costs, space and equipment. Considering the equipment is pretty cheap, say 3k total, add fifty square meters of office space per officer at 20$/sqm and 10$ per sqm of electricity, water etc, it leaves 79k fir salary and side costs. Assume 30% side cost level for medical and whatnot it leaves 49k/year for salary before tax.

Can you hire a goon for that in the US? I would assume yes, since the internet tells me the starting pay for a sergeant first class in the US Army is 43k/year.

Apparently this is a very sensitive and very selective thermal infrared imaging satellite which allows to build a volumetric temperature and humidity model of the atmosphere around Europe, Africa and surrounding regions. Swanky.

Safer, very high power to weight ratio, better self discharge stability and good temperature range performance are the advantages. The most important one is of course the lack of massive environmental impact of water hungry lithium mining in dry environments and the geopolitical challenges evident in lithium sourcing.

There are a few electric vehicles with this chemistry and I predict it will replace lithium based chemistries in lower cost, smaller vehicles.

Sodium batteries are already commercially available and although their volumetric energy density and round trip efficiency is lower than lithium I think they are a promising alternative to lead acid and some lithium applications.

As I understood, their interest is actually prolonging the war, as that will keep US attention divided.

We have the same mechanism of citizen's initiatives here in Finland and many of the initiatives get a big boost early and just before closing. See here for an example https://www.kansalaisaloite.fi/fi/aloite/11377
