Make sure you've actually changed and aren't embracing communism rhetorically. No matter how wealthy I could possibly become, I've seen how the sausage is made. I can't not see the horror and exploitation endemic to every aspect of society. I always want to learn and uncover more. Money has limited utility in resisting the capitalist order so I'm not really chasing it, but I do have to survive because I know I'll get eaten up if I lag for too long.

IMO its good that you're worried at this stage, you might be a little less liberal than you think.

yeah the CCP owl-wink, which honestly if the (Gay) California Communist Party was real we'd all be a lot happier.

You think they weren't doing that before 9/11? Impressive

TO BE SHIPPING CONTAINERS

you can't modify them in any way without compromising the structural integrity of these things. that crinkle isn't just for fun, its part of what makes the whole thing rigid enough not to fall apart. If you start cutting into that, you have to come up with a whole new support structure and might as well just build it normally.

Actual prefab buildings though? That's workable.

Dansup doesn't really deliver novel tech, but I'm always happy to see the idea getting out there and working out UX ideas at least. Federated video is a tough one. Web p2p tech is extremely limited so don't expect too much. Fedi dev's fixation of web technologies is really holding the platform back imo. Peertube makes bit torrent look bad by not being a complete peer experience, only because browsers can't do real networking. like, I can stream any show I want over bit torrent the day it releases no problem. with over 40 peers for popular content. hosting tiktok-like content could be just as good, but you just can't do this with web.

Sadly, most of the more technical projects have reactionary politics and a blockchain attached.. That's slowly changing, but we have way less funding at our disposal so its rough.

End the genocide. That's the one thing that his re election is hinging on and everyone knows it. They can call the protestors terrorists if they want, but when Genocide Joe can't win the election it'll be his own fault. I've looked for the positions of many different marginalized groups on this and the consensus that I see is: solidarity with Palestine is more important that the danger and violence we could face under Trump. If we have to suffer to stand up for starving Palestinian children, so be it.

Ceasefire now!

Afaik its also technically acceptable to make source availability contingent on having an account or filling out a form, it doesn't have to be trivially accessible.

ngl catholic and protestant Christianity are both on the fash watchlist. you can't enable mass genocide and multiple wars in the middle east and keep your commie card.

religions that come from communal cultures (that's most of them) are compatible with communism. religions that develop under the material conditions that promote the development of fascism and capitalism, not so much.

millennials were doing that in their 20s though. it was a whole drama with some of my friends when i switched to android back in the day (5-8 years ago, mind). you just want to be a grumpy old.
