I mean the first one is kinda weird, considering how the country started…

Listen, if my crippling addiction to porn made me money via a gambling scheme, I’d have the wrists of a 90 year old

So, get away

Another way to feeeeeeel what you didn't want yourself to know

I had my icon changed several times by other users to mock me on a regular basis

Why do I remember this as good internet

“Did you see the latest AnalogNowhere comic? Hold on, let me send you the ink”

I just downvoted your comment.

FAQ

What does this mean?

The amount of karma (points) on your comment and account has decreased by one.

Why did you do this?

There are several reasons I may deem a comment to be unworthy of positive or neutral karma. These include, but are not limited to: • Rudeness towards other members, • Spreading incorrect information, • Sarcasm not correctly flagged with a /s.

Am I banned?

No - not yet. But you should refrain from making comments like this in the future. Otherwise I will be forced to issue an additional downvote, which may put your commenting and posting privileges in jeopardy.

I don't believe my comment deserved a downvote. Can you un-downvote it?

Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downvote. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downvote appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Accept the downvote and move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on here. I will continue to issue downvotes until you improve your conduct. Remember: lemmy is privilege, not a right.

Eh, I’d just wait and bleed

[–] xkbx@startrek.website 13 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Wait, that means that Picard lost about 70 officers, Kirk lost 94 officers, Janeway lost 56, and Archer lost around 53 (from what I could gather from the wikis.) Even circumstantially, the Enterprise D is pretty lethal to have families on board. All the others were going into the unknown, but D had regular missions inside well-known territory (mostly.)

Think of thrillers more like rollercoaster rides - they’re fun because they’re exciting and sometimes scary

Horror is more like haunted houses, they’re fun because they’re scary, which is sometimes exciting

This is the interesting thing about genres - they’re often abstract and can blur definitions easily. The same way we don’t consider a hot dog or a pop tart a sandwich, even though you can often find the definition of a sandwich in each.

I never get these comics but oh man are they funny

So you’re saying if I fuck the same way Fremen walk the desert, they can’t track my car sex…

It’s the triple lunar eclipse

But really all the budget went to the animatronics back then. Very little for the writers or casting.
