There will never be an end to it, fascism will just go underground again for a few decades until another period of social fear.

That's why we can never stop being vigilant. That's why we can never forget the atrocities committed in its name.

Individuals in society learn, and notably society's leaders consistently refuse to listen to those individuals, labeling them doomsayers.

This is why we have to deal with fascism again.
