Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

Extremely good Bad Empanada video. Yeah this dude can sometimes be a lot but literally every word in this video is absolutely spot on IMO, definitely should be used to dunk on "please bro just vote" libs.

Anybody got a TLDR?

Edit: I just want to know, does he talk about third party candidates at all or just telling people to not vote at all?

Edit 2: please?

Anybody got a TLDR?

Low frequency activities. Near-zero vibration or resonance.

[–] Owl@hexbear.net 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

This is really uncalled for. The person is just asking for a summary of something.

Counter revolutionary. Unwilling to deal with the work of educating the masses.

🙄

This is a shitposting site. Get out of your own ass. You cannot seriously fix your face to tell me you do any real educating here lmfao. And even you did, I don't recognize this guy; and as such, have no reason to trust in his good faith. My organization and educational efforts are saved for my people first; I don't know this randy.

Okay so what about being a shitposting site makes it okay to just go off on a random person asking for a summary?

You pulled out "no investigation no right to speak" when justifying your comment elsewhere in this thread. Make up your mind.

[–] frauddogg@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Because it's still asking for someone else to go to the trouble of engaging with something to regurgitate rather than doing it themselves. Maybe you don't have a problem with that, but I do on some level. Now if you want me to drop it, then drop it; that was the point of "If you say so".

[–] Owl@hexbear.net 1 points 4 months ago

I wanted you to acknowledge that arbitrarily going off on people is bad. "If you say so" does not show any sign of self-reflection or attempt at improvement. And neither does the rest of this conversation. Get out of my comm.

BE's videos are wildly all over the place, nobody should be required to watch an entire video where it going to be something like a 50/50 chance that its light on analysis and heavy on rage bait and a waste of 15~120 minutes of your life.

You could have just as easily not responded.

What the content is, who it's by, or how long it could be genuinely does not matter to me. To me, tl;dr requests are the sign of treat-brained laziness at best, and a desire to get someone else to do the thinking for whoever's requesting it at worst. No investigation, no right to speech.

[–] D61@hexbear.net 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Ah, I see you've read Mein Kamph multiple times to fully understand the nuance. owl-wink

No investigation, no right to speech.

Wrong application of this phrase. Not applicable in this context. The commenter was asking for a synopsis, they weren't making a bold proclamation about something they know nothing about.

Hell, me replying to their comment with "I refuse to watch the video..." and then giving my opinions would have been the place to quote Mao, not them asking for a condensed version by a comrade who spends more time in the BreadTube mines to give context that it would take multiple hours of video watching to fully grasp.

Umm... I don't follow.

I'm sorry I can't watch these type of edited fast-paced ramble videos. Give me a 1hr uncut but not this.

[–] D61@hexbear.net 3 points 4 months ago

I refuse to watch the video but if his past is anything to rely on, the answer to your question is, "No."

I would imagine that Bad Empanada (BE), if they spoke about 3rd party candidates, would describe any candidate in the USA presidential election as either a gleeful champion of the Israeli genocide of Palestinians or too weak politically/personally to fight against a system that is geared towards supporting the Israeli genocide of Palestinians. IF BE wanted to talk about third party candidates in the US elections... he's gonna be contrarian no matter what. He'll most likely choose to describe any third party candidates as willfully complicit in the genocide or that the candidate's anti-genocide rhetoric is completely hollow (because they have no power to change anything, they're just sheep dogging the anti-genocide voters into complacency, their just grifters, etc).

BE is not somebody you watch regularly for nuanced analysis.
