To add to what the comrade said, there is a centuries long history in Europe of Jews being accused of dual loyalty as an excuse to stir up antisemitic fervor and terrorize Jewish populations. The idea only really became common in Africa and the Middle East after the proclamation of the state of Israel and the Nakba which led to the expulsion/fleeing of most of the Jews in these countries who had lived in them relatively peacefully for centuries.
