I don't remember Hillary even once trying to outflank Trump to the right on immigration. I'm not crazy, right?

It was a reference to her "basket of deplorable comments" which I had accidentally conflated with another gaff. People called this statment "Hillary's 47% moment" in 2016 as a reference to Mitt Romney's comments from 2012. In 2012 Mitt Romney said something like "47% of the population in America relies on government and doesn't give anything back" or something shitty like that.

So the 47% triggered something in my brain and apparently other people made the same connection. But no, it had nothing to do with immigration.
