Anyone just do a little eye makeup and lip gloss and that's it? I'm looking at tutorials for the first time and it's way too much. I'm not doing a full face with foundation and all that. Also, I work a manual labor job, outside in heat/rain, get sweaty, etc. How to do minimal eye makeup that also won't smear everywhere if I get sweaty? Oh, I also have hooded eyes. @MusicOwl@hexbear.net @magi@hexbear.net
What kind of eye makeup do you want to do? For the longest lasting eyeliner, you want to use cream liner with a brush. Setting powder will also be your friend to reduce the effects of sweat accumulation.
For starting out I want to go with something "barely there", like this:
I'm not going to be out at work for a long time, but outside of work I want to start really subtle, basically slowly turning the dial until I find something that works as a go-to.
The photo you sent is a good example of a tightline. For tightlining, you are putting the eyeliner on your upper waterline.
In addition you can also use a eyeshadow brush and eyeshadow to coat the lashes with or without the liner to create that effect. You would use a black or similarly dark eyeshadow, coat the brush, lift your eyelid with one hand, and coat the base of the lash with the brush.
For a tightline, you want gel or waterproof liquid liner. Pencil might also work, but I am much less experienced with using pencil liner personally, and I prefer the darker contrast liquid and gel achieve.
Thank you for your extensive knowledge! I have a lot to practice.
awwww thank you
You are going to do so great. Don't get discouraged with the hooded eyes either. I had very very hooded eyes before FFS and it can be done. Just look up folks with eyes similar to yours wearing your desired kind of liner style and copy. Pointed q tips and gentle eye makeup remover will be your ally too.
