Ever had a really shitty bit idea? Joke you want to take way past the point of where it was funny? Want to feel like a stand-up comedy guy who's been bombing a set for the past 30 minutes straight and at this point is just saying shit to see if people react to it? Really bad pun? A homemade cringe concoction? A cognitohazard that you have birthed into this world and have an urge to spread like chain mail?

Rules:

  1. Do not post good posts.
    • Unauthorized goodposting is to be punished in the manner of commenting the phrase "GOOD post" followed by an emoji that has not yet been used in the thread
    • Use an emoticon/kaomoji/rule-three-abiding ASCII art if the rations run out
  2. This is not a comm where you direct people to other people's bad posts. This is a comm where you post badly.

Today I unupbeared my post. Why? Because I believe success must be earned, not given.

You see, in the fast-paced world of posting (yes, Hexbear is a battlefield too, like my household LOL), it’s very tempting to give yourself that initial boost, that one yellow bear. But where’s the growth in that? Where’s the hustle? Where's the struggle? The grind? What did you learn? The first upbear—much like the first paycheck–isn’t something you just hand yourself. It’s something you earn by delivering value and trusting the process. If you deserve that upbear, you'll get it. The longer that zilch hangs, the more motivation you have to get to work.

In life, as in Hexbear:
✅ Don’t seek shortcuts.
✅ Curate your portfolio.
✅ Let your work speak for itself.

That first upbear? That 0 changing into a 1? That’s your audience, your customer base, your mentee, telling you you’ve done a good job. And trust me, it feels better than any shortcut ever could.

I was astonished to see my child doing their math homework without a LLM yesterday. While yes, I understand that there is some inherent value to developing critical thinking skills in your formative years, I couldn’t help but fixate on how much productivity was being stifled by simply refusing to use chatgpt. What I did next might shock you

I told her we are a pro-gpt family and we BELIEVE in using whatever tools possible to set us up for success. I pointed to her brother who, regrettably, is struggling with “school” but has developed mechanisms to generate passive income with tools like crypto and drop shipping. Whereas my rebellious teenage daughter is worried about nebulous issues such as climate change, Jack Jr is steps away from creating a fully-autonomous, crypto-based ecosystem that would make Ayn Rand blush 📈

What was achieved by this you might ask?

☑️fundamental cohesion in family values 🇺🇸

☑️ instilling a no-nonsense mindset 🙅‍♂️

☑️the end of woke ideology 😂

As a parent, we have to be responsible for ensuring that our children don’t stray too far from the path of free enterprise, speech and the American dream. We need to ensure that growing up happens swiftly and efficiently to maximize our future gains and opportunities 💪💪💪💪
