We say this as if most here weren't berniecrats in '16 and the majority was still electorialist up until he got fucked in the primaries in '20. Tons of users have posted about how they've become more radicalises after X event or year or whatever.
Yeah we shouldn't trust liberals, but pretending like Trump isn't creating circumstances for radicalisation is, at best, silly.
This is a fair point. I should try to be less pessimistic. The majority will return to brunch, but many will also hopefully reevaluate their politics, like many posters here did.
I like to look at the summer riots of 2020. Sure they got coopted and memoryholed, but it's not like people weren't out in the streets actually doing actual stuff, and since then the general vibe has been much.more antagonistic. Since then we've also had more unionisation efforts. I really think Biden was a more competent ghoul than many here give him credit for. He came in right as things were about to pop off.
A lot of people got good experience with organising and other stuff, and that hasn't been forgotten.
Bidens 2020 campaign was a masterful recuperation of the energy in the streets. And I'm honestly still mad at it, and mad at the liberals who decided that things were fine now.
If you sort by controversial you can find hexbear strugglesessions about Biden being a harm reduction candidate. I also made a post gathering a bunch of those kind of discussions a while ago. Its one of my highest voted posts, if you look at my profile (just telling you this for if you're curious and wanna look about).
I remember some Biden struggles, but people were so upset about Bernie and interested in the protests that I never thought that was really a serious position. But I generally avoid the struggle threads so idk.
I do remember the podcasts around that time where everyone had to hash out the Correct Position(tm) on voting for Biden lol.

Watch the federal space. Now that Elon is X-ifying their liberal 'we love diversity and support the veterans' playground, I think many who were disillusioned under Biden will now have to contend with the thought that maybe it's not the party but the system.
