  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

MODERATORS

House Democratic lawmakers reportedly used a closed-door meeting earlier this week to vent their frustrations with progressive advocacy groups that have been driving constituent calls and pressuring the party to act like a genuine opposition force in the face of the Trump administration's authoritarian assault on federal agencies and key programs.

I wanted them to speak up and keep Trump out to keep this from happening.

Besides that whatever you think you know about me I’m afraid you don’t.

I wanted them to speak up

Uh huh. What did you say to people that wanted Biden to stop supporting genocide?

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Biden ran in 2020 but he didn’t in 2024.

2024 was Harris vs Trump.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 3 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

As of the final few months of the campaign, and Harris made it clear that she wasn't going to differ from Biden on the issue.

What did you say to people that wanted Biden/Harris to stop supporting genocide?

Dodge the question harder.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world -1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

That Trump would be much worse.

Why are the genocides stopped now?

[–] YarHarSuperstar@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Fuck you, if all you have to offer is "I wont genocide as hard as the other guys, but I also won't try to stop them and also I have never said or done a single thing to actually slow the genocide, but 45 WORSE!!!" then you deserve to lose. Just because they only give us two choices doesn't mean that actually reflects the reality or nuance of the situation. Don't act like you give a shit about genocide.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 0 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I can’t stand single issue voters.

The world has much more nuances than that.

[–] YarHarSuperstar@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

No shit, some of that nuance would be nice to have in the political system but all we have is mostly old white party 1 & 2 and they're both right wing? Fuck that

Btw if you think that's the only issue with the Democratic platform and their presidential offering(s) this time, you are not paying enough attention, or you're being misled.

[–] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

The parties are very different.

Even a blind man could tell that.

[–] YarHarSuperstar@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

How is that at all related to what I just said? No shit. We were just talking about nuance lol where did that go? Fuck off troll

No shit, some of that nuance would be nice to have in the political system but all we have is mostly old white party 1 & 2 and they're both right wing? Fuck that

Maybe I misinterpreted you here.
