It's already done.
I haven't seen anywhere near this much Canadian patriotism in Québec in my lifetime.
My dad who's 80 mentioned the same without me bringing up the subject.
I don't know how to explain this other than with an imperfect analogy:
Even though we disagree or squabble at times, my fellow Canadians are brothers and sisters and no one picks on my siblings but me.
