I feel like there's subtext here about her thinking asexuality means you think you're special for not wanting to fuck literally every person you meet but it's not resolving in my head.
Is it "big deal, I also want to fuck everyone I meet but don't?" Is it "I do not want to fuck everyone I meet, you're not special?" is it "I don't actually want to fuck anyone, ever, like everybody else, you're not special"?
some people, when they are faced with evidence that someone out there is not attracted to them sexually, take it personal and make it personal.
I don't even mean from someone explicitly saying to them, "I do not desire you." I mean, just the knowledge that someone is categorically uninterested, sexually, is somehow threatening to their personal self-understanding.
we (rightfully) lampoon this reaction in men towards women, but I don't think it's a sex/gender linked phenomenon. its some kind of social power/entitlement/fragility thing I can't wrap my head around.
Considering further comments about her wondering how you could know to be gay if you don't wanna smash uglies I'm going with this one, good call
people want validation
Even if they're uninterested in everyone else as well?
I'm really confused about the hatred towards ace people. Aren't they the 'model minority' among the queer? What do you even accuse them of? They're not even doing anything.
no idea. my guess? if they were more self-posessed:
I think essentially she is saying that ace people should be pretending to be straight, ostensibly to preserve social cohesion against Cultural Marxism or whatever, instead of "acting special" by maintaining their own identity and thus "faking oppression" because if they'd just shut up she wouldn't have to oppress them.
what a repugnant person
