I don't even know what to really say about it. Truth be told I was kind of numb when the first migrants where shipped off to CECOT and GITMO, which is bad on my part, maybe it was a coping mechanism idk. But this guy's harrowing case, the case of all these migrants that did nothing wrong outside of crossing a stupid line in the sand for the hopes of finding a better life, has me despairing even harder than usual. I just keep thinking about this all day and I feel guilty that my stupid first world white ass is free and allowed to partake in the empire's treats while these people are sent off to concentration camps, probably to die.

I know this should radicalize me even further and strengthen my resolve to be a better leftist but I just catch myself like slipping into nihilism that it's all futile and the bad guys have won.

It's self preservation on your part, and it's okay, don't be harsh on yourself, be kind.

You are a witness to all this as are we all. You didn't bring this or cause this, but you also couldn't have stopped it or altered it. It's a system much bigger than you and I.

Good and evil coexist in every human and therefore in all humanity. Good wouldn't exist if evil wouldn't, much like ying-yang or the duality of life.

But good always always prevails, because it is long sighted as opposed to evil which is short sighted & short lived.

The way I see it, the world needs a lot of good (climate change is coming), and it almost wouldn't happen without a substantial amount of evil first.

The idea that "good always prevails" is naive and only inspires complacency. The mere existence of the United States disproves this. They succeeded in destroying the native population and has continued to export evil across the globe for numerous generations.
