Stay civil. Just because you don't like a certain politics, doesn't mean you can come in and just stir shit up. Please see Rule 1 in the sidebar.

Being an overzealous tone policing mod on your completely inactive libertarian online space is so fucking funny dawg please tell me you realize how funny this shit is
If's so inactive, then you shouldn't have an issue with my "tone policing."
Also, most communities on Lemmy have a civility rule. In fact, I copied my sidebar rules directly from other communities.
So if you don't like "tone policing" then you are gonna have a tough time on Lemmy.
Sir sir sir!
Please be respectful.
You are in the presence of a three year old lemmy account with a squeaky clean modlog. Please take the time to verify this for yourself before making further erroneous claims about my online demeanor.
I don't care about your account, never bothered to look at it, never will look at it. I don't care.
But I'm surprised that you are surprised that some communities have a civility rule. lol
On the bear we got a whole ass civility account
Yo @Civility@hexbear.net come check this out I'm sure you'll love it
For me civility isn't just some rule to follow. It's a way of life. It's like how I don't have to think about breathing. It just is ya know

No idea what point you are trying to make. If you don't like this community or the way it's run, no one is forcing you to be here.
I have no plans going to hexbear. Glad you like it though. Good for you.
Hell yeah brother! That's the beauty of libertarianism. It's my life and I'm gonna post through it my way. When I want. How I want. But always keepin' it real civil cause I got nothin but respect for my fellow man
Exactly! Glad you understand. Welcome to the party. :)
You violated the NAP.
By telling someone that they need to remain civil in a Lemmy community?! Nope. lol
You are abusing your position of authority to delete people's posts because you cannot compete in the Marketplace of Ideas. You are aggressively authoritarian.
Nope. I'll remove posts that don't fit the community tone. And I'll ban people who are just here to troll. Like all the mods of Lemmy do when they are taking care of their communities.
I understand you're unhappy with this. But you're free to start you own communty and mod it as you wish. I wish ya luck with it.
You can't live your own values.
Sure I can. I am living my own values right now. And it's awesome!
And your actions show that you clearly value power over others. Again, you are aggressively authoritarian.
Feel free to run your community the way you want to. :)
How so? What crime?
No free speech has been violated at all. The person is not facing legal consequences, professional consequences, or personal consequences for saying something.
They are free to say whatever they want. And I'm free to remove comments that don't fit the tone of this Libertarian community.
And you are free to start your own community on this instance or any other instance.
I've had plenty of comments removed from other communities. I don't remember you sticking up for me in those communities though.
But those other communitees are free to remove my comments because it's their community. And they have. And they have banned me. I don't care. It's Lemmy. It's not that serious.
Eww. Horrible comment. Banned. Child slave talk resulted in your permaban. It's also against this instance's, and probably all Lemmy instances, TOS.
I wasn't making biased or hateful comments, but demonstrating evidence based logic. By saying that DOGE is a success or has produced any positives for humanity, or has cut any waste whatsoever rather than increase waste, demonstrates a stupidity and credulousness previously unobserved throughout all humanity.

I know that libertarians hate anything that makes the world a better place, or any government spending that isn't directly killing people. But, for your education.
Not true. I get that you don't like them. That's totally fine. In face, feel free to start a "Anti-Libertarian News" community on this instance or any other, if you would like.
That's the beautify of the fediverse. If you don't like the rules of a community, you can start your own.
I like libertarian values and the party. I don't care if you don't. Me liking them doesn't affect your life in any way, shape, or form. Move on if you don't like it here.
DOGE killed USAID and made major cuts to NED, which is a huge win in my book. Other than that, I can't say from lack of familiarity. But the concept of DOGE is good. Just unlikely that it would produce the right outcomes in the american political environment. It's obvious to anyone who's looked at the numbers that the "welfare" system in America (which is just a bandaid covering up underlying market inefficiencies) is deeply inefficient itself. If you've ever worked in a bureaucracy, you know that without oversight, bureaucracy expands only to serve its own interests, not the people. Bureaucratic positions may not need to be subjected to market discipline, but they do need to be accountable to some sort of discipline.
:)
The concept may be good, but they are not even trying to cut government waste. It is just trying to destroy parts of the government Elon doesn't like and increase waste by making these parts of the administrative state unable to do their job, even if the money still constitutionally has to be spent anyway. If you cared about actual waste and corruption, they would focus almost exclusively on the Defense budget, as that has just been handouts to defense contractors and graft mostly, and since that money is for killing people, right-wingers never question that part. Yes, welfare is inefficient and a band-aid, but unless we overthrow capitalism tomorrow, removing or cutting it is just going to make things worse. Removing a flawed system, but replacing it with nothing.
Also, while bureaucracy does grow over time, like a law of entropy, in the US government it is actually better on that front than private companies. The majority of bureaucracy is as part of accountability requirements and all this "anti-waste" oversight requirements that have been imposed. Ironically, most bureaucracy in the government is legally required, due to "small government" advocates, with knowing intentions of undermining the government's administrative capabilities.
I am not going to defend USAID or NED because they are for US geopolitical influence and control. But it is funny right-wingers are so hostile towards it and think this is "streamlining" government. USAID is a cold war outfit whose main purpose is to provide cover for CIA agents (e.g. sending in an assassin to kill a warlord messing with mining in the Congo, or sending torture experts to South America to train US backed death squads). As a secondary side benefit it is the carrot in the US's carrot and stick to get other nations working with us, and is therefore cheaper than needing to threaten tariffs or invasion to get anything out of foreign countries. You do need 9 out of 10 USAID workers to be actual aid workers for it to successfully work as a cover for the 1 out of 10 that are CIA agents and mercenaries. It is so funny to see right-wingers take the liberal propaganda at face value and hate it based on that. "They help people and helping people is gay and woke!"
No, you have an opinion. Which is fine, but you calling something "dumb" isn't the way to express that opinion in this community.
There are plenty of places on Lemmy that thinks the Libertarian Party is dumb. You'll find plenty of friends in those communities.
Sorry, I used dumb as a shorthand for being anti-evidence based and saying things that are easily disproven.
Good for you. I mean, if you wanna spend your money on shit meme coins, that's all on you. Has nothing to do with me. :)
