I hate how "humor" is just knowing the most popular meme for the week and when to stop using it.
The next step up is portmanteau "wordplay jokes" like the burger names in Bob's Burgers. In fact, I kind of blame that show for the rise of portmanteau humor.
It's just so tedious and watching these people pat themselves on the back for someone else's idea while other people seal clap is enough to make me want to put rocks in my pockets and walk into the lake.
Everything is worse for the Internet and there's no going back. The slop will get worse until there's nothing left. And here I thought we hit rock bottom when little children were playing with poop emoji plushies after the emoji movie came out.

I think you give Bob's Burgers too much credit. The joke was usually that no one but Bob really cared about the funny burger names, not that funny names are the be-all end-all of comedy. I would probably say Rick and Morty has had a hell of a lot more influence on the internet comedy landscape.
