American Fiction (2023)
I have wanted to watch it for a while, so I was happy to see the Blu-ray available at my local library. I really enjoyed it, it was a great critique on the publishing industry and how the major ones treat African-American authors. I laughed so many times, good full belly laughs too.
Super Mario Bros (1993)
I managed to snag this on DVD at Barnes and Noble. It’s one of my favorites, even though I know it’s terrible. I recommended it to the gal at the register because it’s a great bad movie.
It's much less fun but I think Origin (2023) is a good follow up to American Fiction
Mario Bros is an objectively bad Mario movie, but as a weird cyberpunk 90s b-movie I think it has legs
"What, you think some bitch-ass college boy came up with this shit!?" had me in tears
