Here is the Hexbear for you nerds altho the comments got purged
They don't even show up in the modlog for me. Is it cuz they're from a different instance?
I've noticed that a lot of times, but not always, when a user is permabanned most of their comments are removed even from the modlog. I thought that was just for instance-wide bans, but it looks like it may apply to comm-bans too. I'm also curious about the specifics of how that works if anyone who knows wants to chime in.
Edit: makes obvious sense for bans due to spam to wipe all comments, but it definitely happens even when that's not the reason for the ban.
its the remove content options, when we mods ban someone from a community, we have the option of "remove content" which removes all comments someone has made in a post, this makes it so it doesnt appear in the modlog because its seem as spam.
I understand that its easier and simpler then having to go through and get rid of every comment but using that for things that arent really spam kinda defeats the point of the modlog a bit.
yea its sometimes unnecesary
