uggggh i hate that paradox games have become alt-historical fantasy wish fullfillment simulators but they are!!

Vic 3 is infinitely better in this regard than HoI4, which is effectively a "here's how Germany could have won" simulator for pea-brained fascists.

Idk about that. Staging the Italian Revolution, yeeting Mussolini 7-8 years early and liberating all of continental Europe along with my Soviet comrades was pretty wish-fulfillment-y.

Granted, it's all abstract for non-military aspects of the world so V3 wins out in that regard. Some mods add more flavor (via walls of text a la TNO) so there is something unique about Hoi4.
