The cowards, this is how its being reported on all major news channels. Lie after lie.

In a statement to ABC News, the Owasso Police Department said it suspected the cause of Benedict's death, but refrained from saying anything pending the results of the medical examiner's office.

The students of Oklahoma are holding walkouts to honor Nex. It would be appreciated if you joined any nearby vigil or march honoring them, in solidarity.

Remember that this wasn't some passive death, transphobes actively and knowingly agitated harm against them. This was a murder, not a suicide. They, an indigenous trans minor, died in the hospital after being assaulted in the bathroom by 6 transphobes.

Last week, a family buried their nonbinary child, Nex Benedict, who died after being brutally beaten in the girls’ bathroom at their high school in Oklahoma. According to their mother, 16-year-old Benedict had been bullied relentlessly for a year leading up to the incident, in which a group of peers ganged up on them and a trans student. It’s a horrific case and one that is inseparable from its context amid a climate of seemingly unceasing anti-LGBT demonization in the state and the nation.

also to be clear the claim is that they overdosed on benadryl and prozac??? seems fucking unlikely the more i look into it, i don't know anything about drugs but people who claim to say it's sus, and i can't find anything saying they're likely to be lethal when taken together or that deaths are at all common from either

like, as pictured below the warning says they MAY increase dizzyness, and the elderly might have more severe results. that's not lethal! they would have had to take a LOT and even then it seems unlikely

This is extremely fishy, as someone who knows a lot about drugs. The two don't really overlap much, although Seratonin Syndrome is possible from the combo at high doses. But if it were seratonin syndrome, all it would take to have saved them was a some benzos and wouldn't have been life threatening unless left untreated for a very long time. I know how to kill myself with anti-depressants and was able to save myself without even telling the doctors the truth of what I did because I didn't want to be institutionalized. And that was 2 days after I had taken all the shit, and like I said I know how to actually make SSRIs deadly. Still had 2 days before it got really bad.

from a trusted comrade I know IRL who I know has taken both for sleep:

the mixture of diphenhydramine and fluoxetine does not produce toxicity on its own, you can technically overdose on diphenhydramine but you have to take an incomprehensible amount and you will show extreme signs of slowdown before any loss of conciousness

yeah I don't believe this shit for a second. Those cops are lying.

you will show extreme signs of your brain breaking into absolute delirious psychosis idk what "slowdown" is

[-] LeylaLove@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago

Slowdown is definitely how it looks from an outsider perspective. If you're overdosing, you're slowing down instead of getting a delirious energy boost

Just looking up those two drugs and how much it takes to kill you, once you get past the suicide hot lines you get an article from Drugs.com "Using diphenhydrAMINE together with FLUoxetine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating."

I still believe Nex got some sort of brain bleed, and although I might believe that these drugs might have perhaps thinned already damaged blood vessel in the brain, I think an examine from someone who is not looking to rule the death a suicide is going to be the only thing that will reveal the truth. Most Medical Examiners are Cops too, and sometimes their job is make cops jobs easier, by making possible murders disappear. (Why the Fuck they releasing this news on a Wednesday at like 8pm?)

So yeah, I'm going to wait for the family's independent autopsy, but I have an ready for their autopsy to reveal lots of tampering that makes it hard to find evidence of anything else.
