imho Norm comes off as someone who puts effort into being non-political, mainly because he was dedicating his life to making anyone laugh and being political was a waste of energy for that goal, and that is functionally conservative because it defaults to "things are fine as they are now", but I refuse to let conservatives claim him because they will then ascribe their actively shitty and harmful ideas to him.

Mocked the rape of a transman and the murder of him and his friends.He stayed conservative, defended trump and attacked #MeTwo towards the end of his life. Other than like one 9-11 joke, I don't see any reason why leftists would want to claim or defend him?
