The power users are also trying to keep those they ~~disagree with~~ are tired of constantly having to correct banned from posting in other world comms.

In a way they're running the ML playbook to try to purge Lemmy of any leftism. You see the same tactics. Their nuanced rational for on Biden is "yes he's doing genocide but Trump will do more genocide so Critical Support for Biden. And then, of course, silence any criticism of Biden, because that's counter productive to supporting Biden.
