People are stuck in time. They still think china is making mini mill steel and cheap plastic trinkets. Sure that was the start, and yes they're still doing that, but starting with that knowledge base with wealth and time they have learned A LOT. They also have a society that invests in and highly values education. All these things combined and they're whipping our asses
