All of the people who have worked so fervently to suppress and brigade any person who dare say that Biden is unfit for office and that the Democrats need to produce an alternative.

Now the DNC has a shocked pikachu face that he is unfit for office and they need to produce an alternative.

If only we didn't have Blue MAGA boot lickers muddying the water for the past 3 years, we had already gone about the process, and this debate featured someone who was fit for the office.

Trump literally shit his pants on stage (there was a point when his microphone was on where you audibly hear him fill his pamper) while doing nothing but lying and dropping buzz words and Biden STILL resoundingly lost the debate.

Somehow found a way to top Boat-Shark-Electricity with Abortion-Civil Rights-Immigrant murderer.

Fuck.

[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 22 points 4 months ago

Hearing "Trump is a threat to democracy" from Democrat leadership has started to make me seethe. They think it's a one-way responsibility: we the voters are obligated to show up to vote for whoever they put in front of us, but they feel no responsibility to switch to a better candidate.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 9 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Resoundingly lost the debate?

That's insane.

At least he answered the questions correctly, building off solid domestic policy over the past four years.

Dumps didn't tell the truth at all, and that s*** doesn't fly like it did 8 years ago.

They don't need an alternative, people need to vote.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8eMauO_T88

Answered the questions correctly?

I can hardly even make out words.

What I could pick out, translated to (as) coherent (as possible) English:

"A young woman who just was murdered, and he went to the funeral, and the idea she was murdered by an immigrant coming in, they talk about that. Here's the deal, there's a lot of young women being raped by their in-laws, by their spouses, brothers and sisters. I, wah, jus, jusjusjus ridiculous. You can do nothing about it. And they try to arrest them when they go across state lines."

In what world do you live in where that is "correctly answering" a question about abortion?

You really need to stop sabotaging the Democrat party with your Blue MAGA horse-shit.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 months ago (2 children)

Quit projecting your sabotage.

I didn't say that he answered every question exactly how you personally want it to be answered.

Also, that's the one clip that's been posted on every news site, did you even watch the debate?

He's old.,you crybaby.

If you've ever spoken to an old person, that's what they sound like sometimes.

It doesn't change that he's been doing a good job for 4 years.

You can vote for the rapist, I'm going to keep going with the guy who invests in clean, sustainable energy, legislates new civil rights, provides funding for health care and told Walmart and other corporates to lower their prices.

You're so transparent.

Literally the only people who say blue maga are actual maga people.

Maga's an idiot fascist rapist slogan, so you can keep it to yourself and quit projecting it onto liberals.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I know, it's weird people are acting surprised by his age.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Where do you see surprise? What, you think he is just immune from criticism because of his age, so that commenter must simply be unaware that he's old? Theres nothing about biden people are more aware of!

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

In the way people pretend that he isn't talking like every old person in the entire world talks.

And the way they pretend it's weird that an old man isn't walking as spritely as a 20-year-old.

Don't expect an old man to be a young man.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I aint beating around the bush, show me where you see these things. Show me where they say hes not talking like other old people, show me where they say its weird hes not walking like a young person.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You don't hear anybody complaining about how he walks or how he talks?

You aren't reading any of these comments?

That's all I keep hearing references to.

Nobody can keep in mind his administration's policies if he isn't doing cartwheels, apparently.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Nah mate its time to back up these specific accusations. Show me where they say hes not talking like other old people, show me where they say its weird hes not walking like young people. Youre gonna realize the difference here

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Nah mate, if you're having this much trouble reading in the first place, I don't see the point in providing further examples.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You havent provided one! Youve accused someone of saying things they did not say, because you cannot defend against what they actually said. Bidens health and mental coherence are being judged as a candidate of US president, not as an old person. Being old does not grant any immunity from these criticisms

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Nobody said being old grants you immunity from people teasing you about being old.

One would hope that four surprisingly progressive years would carry more weight than how many somersaults you can do.

As you've pointed out, people really like somersaults.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

As you’ve pointed out, people really like somersaults.

What?

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Somersaults: they're a forward acrobatic tumble.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I know what a somersault is. Who the fuck is talking about somersaults?

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 0 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

No wonder you're confused if you can't follow a one-topic conversation.

People are insisting Biden perform physically better than not just other old people during this one media circus, but most people, ignoring that acrobatics are not an integral part of being a president.

He's been working well and achieving good results for 4 years.

Let biden continue to do good work.

[–] blazera@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

As you’ve pointed out,

I've been accused of talking about somersaults. Stop this lying shit.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] blazera@lemmy.world 0 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Well we just cant talk if youre gonna bold faced lie about what I say.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 1 points 4 months ago

If you have so much trouble reading that you become confused by simple sentences and examples, you probably should go practice for a while before attempting conversation.

[–] Melkath@kbin.earth 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

He has single handedly disenfranchised record numbers of voters with a genocide.

And you say "he's old" like that's just some write off thing. Its not just some write off thing. If him being old is what is making him incapable of stringing together a coherent thought or WALKING OFF A STAGE UNASSISTED, then GET SOMEONE WHO ISNT ANCIENT.

Get your head out of your ass buddy.

When the dems lose, its because of what you are doing here.

100% avoidable. Get literally anyone who can enunciate a full sentence and hasnt personally orchestrated a genocide, and they will win.

Keep Blue MAGAing and being delulu, and you will have succeeded in handing Trump the office again.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You maga zealots are such frightened children, running after abusive dumps because you mistake abuse for affection.

You vote for the rapist, I'm going to vote for someone who's made positive policy decisions for four years.

I don't care if Biden can walk at all, FDR was in a wheelchair.

Look at the policies, you blind bat.

Biden's administration has benefited the US immensely, domestically and abroad.

He's advanced civil liberties.

Biden's a great president, dumps is a rapist and literally a traitor.

[–] Melkath@kbin.earth 0 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

Twice you, a person who has been demonstrably Blue MAGA in this conversation, have called me, a disenfranchised Independent former Democrat who plans on voting for Jill Stein unless the DNC can produce a viable candidate, a MAGA.

You have literally described Biden as an old invalid potato and you still shill him.

Get a clue dude.

"He is strong on the economy, Bidenomics work." Noone can afford a house, increasingly people cant afford food, CEO salaries and corporation profit margins are at an all time high though.

"He has benefited the US domestically." Is this in reference to the US infrastructure? So he fixed the water in Flint issue, right? Oh... he didnt do anything. Well at least he has taken action on the spread of PFAS... oh, he hasnt dont anything about that. Well, at least our roads and bridges are in good working order... oh, no, they are crumbling and collapsing at a consistent rate.

"He has benefited the US abroad." He has turned America into the criminal baddies on a global scale. He has provided unfettered support, rhetorically and fiscally, to an WJC indited war criminal, and has threatened the WJC in defense of the war criminal. He has turned most of the world against the US.

"dumps is a rapist and literally a traitor." 100% agree. That is why we NEED someone who will be able to beat him at general, and Biden will not do that. Biden will not be president in 2025. I guarantee it.

[–] agamemnonymous@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 months ago (1 children)

me, a disenfranchised Independent former Democrat who plans on voting for Jill Stein unless the DNC can produce a viable candidate, a MAGA.

Voting third party doesn't necessary make you MAGA, but you're certainly helping them.

[–] PsychedSy@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 4 months ago

Not necessarily. Most people live in states where their vote for president won't do much, and voting third party can actually help.

We need to teach people more about secondary effects of voting and how third parties work.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

You're not fooling anybody by pretending to be independent while screaming blue maga.

You vote for rape, I vote for progressive social policies.

And no, you don't need The perfect magical candidate, you need the candidate who already won before who implements good domestic and foreign policy.

I mean not you personally, you're voting for rape, but any progressives who ignore the lgbtq legislation and healthcare and green energy and the absurd amount of good the Biden administration has done for so that they can scuff the dirt with their chucks and wish they had a "better" candidate that did more of all the things Biden is already doing?

Short-sighted and delusional.

[–] Melkath@kbin.earth -1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Dude, you need meds. Like Biden. And Trump.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 6 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Wow, you're projecting again, shocking.

Under Biden, your medication actually might be paid for.

[–] Melkath@kbin.earth -1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Oh really?

I thought he "beat Medicare."

His words. Not mine.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 4 points 4 months ago (7 children)

It's very revealing that you think it's more important he momentarily used the wrong word in a sentence instead of the fact that he implemented and expanded the affordable care act over two administrations.

The delivery was bad but it makes sense: A woman was murdered by an immigrant, he (Trump) went to the funeral and tries to demagogue it. Meanwhile Republicans are passing laws to criminalize abortion and prosecute women who try to travel to other states after they're raped by people they know. So Trump and his party don't give a shit about prosecuting rapes or protecting women, they just want to demonize immigrants and control women's bodies.

Edit: You also left out the preceding lines where he talks about Georgia and other states legislating a six-week abortion ban, which sets up the point more clearly.

You are entitled to your opinion but a large majority of voters disagree with you. So it’s a problem regardless of how you perceived it.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

That large majority of voters already disagreed with me before the debate, so the point is moot.

I don't care what people who can't think critically are thinking.

It's like being upset with a child.

Speak for yourself, don't pretend you're speaking for anyone else.

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Well these are the people who decide the outcome of the election so I still care what they think even if they lack critical thinking skills.

The debate really doesn’t have any impact on my vote because voting for Trump is unthinkable for people who actually understand the issues.

But I think it does give us information about how well prepared Biden is to oppose him. And I came away feeling that he is very unprepared for the task. So in that sense, I agree that he lost.

[–] Varyk@sh.itjust.works 5 points 4 months ago (4 children)

That's quite a hunk of cynical gymnastic rationalization.

Anybody who is swayed by a presidential debate of this caliber is chaff.

They're the same type of people shouting for the T-shirt cannon to notice them.

You can't stop that, and it doesn't matter how they process information.

You caring about them doesn't change anything, they want to be tricked.

Biden is well equipped to oppose Trump.

His policies have been and are incredibly beneficial for the United States and other countries, while dumps is consistently incredibly harmful and insulting domestically and abroad.

Biden has at least as much money in the campaign, he has a much better track record, more Americans agree with his policy statistically, and he doesn't constantly lie and hasn't been lying for almost a decade to the point that even the people on his side are tired of it and calling him out as they are with trump.

Biden doesn't have the election in the bag, but he's more than equipped to oppose the human equivalent of a twitter sock puppet.

Now the DNC has a shocked pikachu face that he is unfit for office and they need to produce an alternative.

If only we had some kind of "pre election" where members of the party got to hear from potential candidates and their positions so the party can be sure they're putting forth the best possible candidate...

Edit:

Maybe call it: The Primary?

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 1 points 4 months ago

We have to save democracy from Trump, so we can't afford the luxury of a primary election. /s
