Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.
As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.
Thank you and happy chatting!

Well, tell us something in Inkniw so we can translate it.
Unfortunately, here's the situation - Google Translate for Tulu uses Kannada script, which I can't read, and which I'll not be learning, because...reasons. I'd rather learn the modernized script based on the original Tulu-Tigalari script.
Here's a popular Tulu ~~proverb~~ idiom, which is really funny imo (I had to transliterate this from English to Kannada, so there may be some mistakes):
ಪೀ ಬನ್ನಗ ಬಿತ್ತ್ ನಾಡುನ
(pī bann-naga bithth nadúnā)
Translation
When translated literally, it means "Searching for the seeds, when you're pooping". What it means is that you shouldn't wait till you're screwed. That’s an awesome proverb I will be incorporating it in professional settings.
My bad, it's an idiom, not a proverb. Fixed my comment.
