So trans people having a higher incidence of Autism and mental disorders is legit right? My therapist gave me one of those eval questionnaires for OCD and apparently I do be obssessing (not so much compulsing, although she said it is still possible to have one and not the other)
Yes, some of these things have some connections between them
From this literature review I already had open:
There's a high correlation of being lgbt+ and being neurodiverse.
There are a lot of studies to corroborate the high stats including this one by University of Cambridge This covers autism but theres other studies that apply to ADHD and other neurodiverse people.
Yes, including me.
Channeling the unbridled power of autism to delete binary gender
Wow based
yeah its a real correlation with both of those things as far as i know
Not all compulsions are external, for ex. mentally reviewing past thoughts/actions, trying to avoid thinking certain thoughts, visualizing certain things in response to intrusive thoughts, etc. are all mental compulsions. "Pure O" is the common term for OCD with mental compulsions; it's not an official diagnosis but is pretty well-known in the OCD community.
Most of my trans friends are autistic, yes.
And like, same.
trans girl (feat. autism) checking in
i mean if i'm anything to go by, yes
Not autistic, but I do have gAyDHD. And the one other trans person I know irl is also neurodivergent
Iβve got plenty of compulsions and I still canβt believe myself that I might have OCD :(. Probably pure o for you. Yes, weβre very neurodiverse.
