That reminds me of my old dog's opinion of different kinds of dogs:
Small dogs: horrible, abhorrent things
Dogs with long fur: terrifying demons
Orange cats: acceptable dogs
Other cats: scary, mean dogs
Medium or large dogs with short brown or black fur: perfectly acceptable
Dogs with white fur: creepy, weird
Deer: the worst sort of dog
Horses: kind of scary but respectable dogs
Orange cats are a subgenre of dog just like orange dogs (foxes) are secretly cats.
I read a sci fi book where people can communicate with dolphins and it turns out dolphins consider all land animals different kinds of dogs
