The pool collected rain overnight, so he had his favorite kind of morning:

getting totally saturated then chasing the ball around.

Today, we will do lots more ball

lots of pool time

and probably some treats and naps

I typed up a transcript of this and posted it on /r/cth once upon a time, but I heard a detailed and very believable story about the CIA's possible involvement, told by the usually silent producer at the end of an episode of Dr Gameshow, just on a weird tangent as he was saying goodbye to the hosts because he was moving to Alaska. The basic overview, iirc, was that his dad was a sharpshooter amongst other interesting skills, and he had a lot of same time, same place overlaps with Oswald, and he was also doing some work with some Cubans?

I might still have it buried in a folder somewhere on my laptop.

Omg I haven't thought about this show in decades! aaaaaaahhhhhhhh holy shit, what a blast from the past

I think I remember not liking this show because it was so underwhelming

iirc, that dinosaur is a bebe and tends to overeat when unattended, which is why he's acting like that.

I think I've seen this episode, and I think maybe the rags-lady is freaking out because she thinks the lunar alignment heralds some monsters, but maybe I'm confusing this with Pitch Black 😂

Did you watch all the way to the end? What happened?

Thank you ❤️ I bet they would love you too!

It's true, there's just something about your vibe and sense of humor that reminds me of him.

He is genuinely the best person I know, so please take this as the compliment it's intended to be. He is the funniest person I know, but of course our senses of humor overlap a lot because we grew up together. So he's great fun, but he's also incredibly compassionate and loyal, brilliant, gentle, dedicated, and wise. He is kind, generous, devoted, and forgiving to a fault; I have seen him drop everything to help a friend of a friend, to his own detriment, repeatedly.

Obviously I don't know you as a person like I know him, just want to make sure the "little brother" thing came across in the positive manner I meant and not somehow demeaning or disparaging.

stalin-heart

And he fucking loves ketchup. 😂 That's all he ever puts on hotdogs. He used to eat ketchup toast and ketchup & cheese sandwiches when we were little! 🤢😂

Mine caught a toad a few weeks ago! 🤢 poor guy was too far gone to save when I found him.

I think a trio of chickens could take down a cat.

Edit: We found this crayfish in the yard in the spring before they did, and carried him to the fence in the direction he was originally travelling. It seemed pretty weird because we're up on top of a ridge with only a few agricultural ponds in the area, but I guess they have to get to different streams somehow. What a journey!

They are SO holdable! 🥰 Sometimes when I scoop one up, I marvel about how the size of their chests fits so perfectly in my palm, it's like they're meant to be snuggled. The little wings-lifted squat is so fucking cute too, it's like the chicken equivalent of a dog running over and flopping down to demand belly scritches ❤️

If there's anyone selling farm eggs in your area, you should buy eggs sometime and ask if their chickens are friendly.

🥰 That is so kind of you to say! Thank you very much ❤️

This is Bette. Look at those beautiful eyes 😍 the rest of the buff orpingtons have golden eyes to match their feathers, but hers are green.

I was trying to get a picture of the flock munching on the strawberry & cucumber scraps I put out for them, but she needed to be the star of the photo shoot.

A couple half-successful pics of happy monching:

My favorite chicken, Ada, is still in protective custody with the baby guineas, or she would have been the star through sheer force of personality.

The adult guineas are terrible parents and step on their babies, and they eventually kill any I let them keep. This broody chicken was so happy to have them, and she's a wonderful mom. Whenever I bring treats to them, she checks to make sure it's safe, then calls the babies to eat before her. 🥰

She has always been a standout sweetie pie and smartypeeps. She's been a lap chicken since she was a baby, and she's braver and more curious than the others.

Hey! Treat Lady! Less paperwork, more peeperwork!

She would perch on a box to get a closer look at my phone when I would take pictures in their enclosure when they were babies

and she would climb onto my hands as soon as they were in the enclosure and low enough for her to hop up, and she just wanted to be snuggled.

Hope you have enjoyed some cute birb pictures ❤️ wishing you all the cuteness and snuggles your heart desires!

Maybe it's the same reason I like the smell of bleach - it reminds me of time spent cleaning with someone I loved very much but who passed away long ago.

I'm almost always awake at this time! Quite a few others too

yes, the sharper the better, or so I'm told

I didn't care for it the one time I tried it, seemed like a waste of two things that would be better separate

When one friend lost his phone, he panicked that somebody might discover the images.

Why did this friend keep the nude images of random women RFK had sent him, and why are we supposed to think the friend losing the phone holding the nude pictures after he chose to save them is somehow RFK's fault?

it is <30' from the coop, in a spot where the birds all love to forage and have dust baths

it's also about 6' away from where they were when they attacked me two years ago 😔 I am scared to be outside again, thank you, PTSD. I was doing so well, and it's not even supposed to top 80° today so I had big plans to do a bunch of work out there, and now I'm cowering in my house.

the entire reason we got ~~the guineas~~ these fuckers was to help with bugs generally but keep hornet nests away from the house specifically

contemplating some incredibly foolish shit, like trying to get an open bag of treats over there by the hole so the guineas will congregate - maybe I can use a fishing pole to drop it over there or something, idfk

even after we get rid of this nest, idk what I'm going to do. be afraid all summer again, I guess 🫠

This is what happens when you touch grass. Never Log Off.

it was, of course, the classic situation:

"All I need is for you to bring your truck! I'll have everything ready when you get here!"

😂 this has never once been true in two decades of helping people move, so when I volunteer to help "just move the mattress and table" I'm ready to pack shit up and clean too

really worried about this friend tbqh, kinda got some hints that there are very serious substance abuse issues happening

idk what to do except just try to be there when he needs us and keep trying to proactively check on him

My husband and I have an LLC for our work doing small engine repair. Occasionally our son helps a little, but otherwise it's just us.

My husband has a close friend and former co-worker who is losing their job, and we are very busy and could use help, but we are deeply morally opposed to profiting from someone else's labor. I was thinking that perhaps we could subcontract stuff to her for a little bit, and if things are working out, then we figure out how to restructure the business.*

There is a restaurant in a nearby town that is worker-owned, but I haven't asked there for advice partly because their structure is byzantine, and idk if that comparison is apples-to-oranges because of the wildly different industries.

*I understand that sharing ownership means sharing control. I would have qualms about that with pretty much every person I know because most people aren't as obsessed with details and informed decision-making etc as I am; I am not concerned about that with this friend, because she has the same flavor of AuDHD as I do. I was undiagnosed when we met her, and our striking similarities in personalities and behaviors were a huge part of the reasons for seeking diagnosis.

Also, it's a rural area, everybody knows everybody, and she is someone with deep roots who is pretty universally loved and respected. There are few people I would trust to try to step into my life and fill in for me if I were seriously injured, but I know she would give everything as much or more care than I do. She is the best.

Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug
Make you wanna holler, "HI-DE-HO!"
Burns your tummy, don't ya know?
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug

Grape wine in a mason jar
Homemade and brought to school
By a friend of mine, 'n' after class
Me and him and this other fool decide
That we'll drink up what's left
Chug-a-lug, so we helped ourself
First time for everything
My ears still ring

Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug
Make you wanna holler, "HI-DE-HO!"
Burns your tummy, don't ya know?
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug

4-H and the FFA
On a field trip to the farm
Me 'n' a friend sneak off behind
This big old barn where we uncovered
A covered-up moonshine still
And we thought we'd drink our fill
And I swallered it with a smile
I run ten mile

Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug
Make you wanna holler, "HI-DE-HO!"
Burns your tummy, don't ya know?
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug

Jukebox 'n' sawdust floor
Somethin' like I ain't never seen
And I'm just goin' on 15
But with the help of my finaglin'
Uncle I get snuck in
For my first taste of sin
I said, "Lemme have a big old sip!"
I done a double back flip

Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug
Make you wanna holler, "HI-DE-HO!"
Burns your tummy, don't ya know?
Chug-a-lug, chug-a-lug

Sorry for the bummer question!

saw something that mentioned this being an AMAB-thing, but it definitely happened to me as well, and it just made me wonder how unusual it was to be punished (physically or otherwise) for crying as a girl

you can just yes/no, you don't need to get into it unless you want to

(feel free to unload, probably I'm not the only person who will relate)
