Why don't we have over 100 far left militias fucking coordinate?

[–] just2look@lemm.ee 19 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (2 children)

Largely because the left is less interested in hating and killing everyone around them over irrelevant differences. There are many armed leftists, they just don’t cosplay government overthrow or post apocalyptic warlord on a regular basis.

Also, have you ever tried to organize anarchists?

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 4 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Have you gone to your local shooting range? I guarantee you it's populated by all right wing gun people. If there ever will be a social disruption and it's one side pitted against another, the blue team will not only be out gunned by overwhelming numbers of red team gun nuts but even the most morbidly obese right wing pieces of shit practice their marksmanship.

even the most morbidly obese right wing pieces of shit practice their marksmanship.

They're also lazy cowards. Most of them.

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

I hope you're right. But hope doesn't fucking fix the fear of Orange Man taking over and lining us up against a wall to have the morbidly obese Cleetus Gravy Seal shoot our backs.

Either you train to resist something that never will happen and lost nothing of value training up for it, or will roll over and die because you never prepared for the worst.

That’s libertarian, not liberal. Similar stance on social legislation, but vastly different economic ideologies.

Edit: Why the downvotes? Anarchists are still on board with civil rights and personal liberty, right? Did Anarchists suddenly start supporting tax funded civil services, public education, and public assistance programs?

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

We're not really "joiners". :)

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Don't expect the cops to help you when those militias come by your neighborhood during the Orange Man dictatorship that i hope never happens.

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

Oh, not counting on the cops for anything. But the Proud Boys can't handle our town, they run like scared little girls every time. LOL.

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 1 points 4 months ago

Maybe we do; they're just not on Facebook.

Most liberals are educated enough to know that they can’t ply the US government with violence.

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Yep, only uneducated Vietnamese farmers and Taliban are allowed to win with violence against a massive high tech military with unlimited money.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

Neither the Taliban nor the Vietnamese fought all branches of the US military along with all police departments. That’s not even close to equivalent. A violent revolution in the US would be impossible today unless all police and military personnel were on the side of the resistance.

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 4 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

The NVA fought coalition forces from 7 different countries. as well as the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Army across different parts of the country at the same time.

The Taliban fought all branches of the U.S. military as well as coalition forces from 36 different countries as well as their own police (ANP) and their own army (ANA) in all regions of Afghanistan simultaneously.

You gotta learn history, You are an idiot.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

I am well aware of both of those conflicts, and name calling is childish. Comparing the military and police forces in Afghanistan to those in America, while comparing the Pakistani Armed Forces trained Taliban to average Americans, reinforces my opinion that your understanding is juvenile.

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 0 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

You are correct, I am the idiot here, projecting my stupidity towards you instead of looking inwards.

Comparing the military and police forces in Afghanistan to those in America

Are you ignoring the fact that the U.S. military that deployed to Afghanistan is the same military that is located in the U.S.? Like, are you deliberately being this obtuse or is my reading comprehension that bad?

while comparing the Pakistani Armed Forces trained Taliban to average Americans

Regardless of whatever you think, the shittily trained Taliban forces defeated the U.S. and coalition forces, same thing happened in Vietnam. Full stop. If you are trying to argue that U.S. military won against an under trained poorly equipped uneducated weaker insurgency, you are being dumb.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I am aware that it was some of the US military. The US would use all available forces and armaments to protect order within the nation in the event of a revolution. You also conveniently glossed over the vast difference of the Afghani police forces and the US local and state police as well as the National Guard and reserves.

Lastly, I didn’t call you an idiot. I said you’re being childish, because another person on the internet has an educated opinion that differs from your own, and you address it by resorting to name-calling. Good day.

[–] BaroqueInMind@lemmy.one 1 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

You do not have an educated opinion.

In fact you have never provided any education in any of your views, meanwhile I've provided sources to all my claims.

You remain focused on the non-sequitur because you have no way to justify your preposterous opinion that is in fact proved by historical events and historical trends for your comments to be wrong as fuck.

[–] some_guy@lemmy.sdf.org 17 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I wish we could hold meta accountable for this shit. Only if the Right were to deliberately target would they ever bother to lift a finger. Fucking assholes.

[–] Lemminary@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

Pfft, Meta is actively trying to polish their shoes to not piss off the Right, to the point that they hired a right wing guy to advice them on how to handle themselves so that they don't break any eggsshells among the snowflake Republicans. They go so out of their way that the Zuck has lunch meetings with right wingers just to appease them, and has publicity admitted to giving them preference when moderating content.

Fuck Meta and fuck the Zuck & Sanders.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

That is a lot of them out there.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 6 points 4 months ago

Well I'm sure this won't result in anything bad happening...

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 5 points 4 months ago

If there are over a hundred, that means they’re disorganized and will be easier for the military to deal with it comes to that.
