It's a quote about investing but applies to software too.
I prefer to just say 9 women can't make a baby in a month. I'm in software I say it all the time to project managers.
This is so frustratingly true.
All they need is a third developer to divide up the project for them and design the interfaces

This feels like Napoleon's soldiers and the mamluks, or what was said about them.
Or something. Above a project of certain size, divisions of labour and stuff make the project complete faster, but before that it seems like a lot of extra busy work that slow down the project
