I am a binary trans guy but I dislike gendered pronouns as a concept. I also dislike "they" as a gender-neutral pronoun(no offense to people who use it, I don't like using it) so I use the other gender neutral pronoun. It also just goes kinda hard.
Putting things in gendered boxes wears on me to the extent I want to go by it/they/them. I'll go by "she/her" sometimes but it's to embrace the underdog role I have in this patriarchy.
How do you handle it someone calls you "it" in a mean way?
I have been insulted and dehumanized for being trans but never specifically by getting called it, which might be why I am more willing to use it.
If I was called it as an insult I don't think I would understand unless they pointed out their intent, in which case I'd probably try to leave.
