Ketchup aside, isn't that basically Spam Musubi?
Because Spam Musubi is bomb.

I suppose, but the ketchup is a big part of the criminal element here. I just can't imagine that playing well with the seaweed.
Also, I looked it up and apparently in order to make Musubi, the spam is fried in Teriyaki sauce, which, being soy sauce based, probably goes a lot better with nori.
Not if you've been homeless like me. At least everything posted on foodcrimes isn't out of the trashbin.
I’ve met plenty of homeless people who have refused even perfectly edible food (like a sandwich from Starbucks) because they only wanted money to buy alcohol or drugs but I still make it a point to at least offer buying them something to eat or drink just in case.
Also, while this group might feel a bit iffy from that perspective, it isn’t intended to encourage food waste. Personally, all the pictures I post are recycled from somewhere else on the Internet, so if any of the food was wasted, it’s already too late to do something about it and we might at least get a laugh out of it.
I don't see the problem with that. Maybe, it lacked a bit of rice but that's it.
That’s hotdog musubi, like spam musubi. If made right it’s lovely.
Carbs+protein+sweet vinegar sauce=Yum
Pfft, everybody knows rice goes with mayo!
Ketchup is the real crime here. Worst condiment ever
No u.
I was making maki rolls for my family and I won't lie, a hot dog made it onto a roll. We did cut it up into strips, and cut a pickle spear for it and served it with spicy mayo. Was not bad at all, but I accept I might be a food criminal
With minimalist food like sushi, which basically lives off just a handful of high quality ingredients working together extremely well, even a tiny mistake like the wrong condiment can make or break the dish.
Spicy mayo sounds like an interesting play here. That (and the pickle spear) might already be enough to turn it around.
