Still working on Minish Cap. I'm stuck between the second and third dungeon doing all the in between stuff. I just got my Pegasus Boots. I haven't had a chance these last few days to play it because I guess I decided last week to finish 3 books instead of play my handheld emulator. 🙃
games
Tabletop, DnD, board games, and minecraft. Also Animal Crossing.

Finished modding openMW and started playing as a high elf, thinking of going telvanni and seeing if i can make slavery illegal and extinct via any means necessary thanks to the mods
Me on Thursday: Alright let’s see what the big deal about Dwarf Fortress is, the hexbear nerds have talked me into it.
Me Friday morning at 6am: oh no
FINALLY finishing off my first full playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3. I had to rebuild my PC earlier in the spring due to overheating and case fitment issues, and basically had all of the parts sitting in storage since January up until the end of March, just because I still needed it to be usable for remote work. (Plus I was kind of hooked on Vampire Survivors at the time anyway.)
I ended up abandoning my saves from back in October/November because I couldn't remember WTF I was doing story- and quest-wise, so I started over with this hilariously broken "stealth archer" build that YouTube pushed at me. Cruised through Act I, annihilated everything in Act II, and now I'm doing side quest cleanup before I take on the last three main story bosses. Those Gondians aren't dying on my watch, damn it!
Been working my way through Yakuza Kiwami 1. Did Yakuza 0 on-and-off for years before finally clearing it, and I think I like having the single protagonist focus in this one better.
Yes, I know 4 has four protagonists and I'm not looking forward to it. Not sure if I'll still like these when I get to the new-new ones the that are all 120+ hour monsters, either. I'll probably give up and play the new Shenmue by then
Oh hell yeah. Very controversial pick but Y: Kiwami has always been my favorite entry of the series, though I have always had a strong bias towards whatever was the "first" game i played in any series
Good news, 5 has 5 protagonists, at least technically!
The new Shenmue is awful.
I've been playing Pillars of Eternity. Still early going, so I don't have a feel for the overarching plot just yet, but I'm enjoying learning about the world and finding new party members.
My partner and I have still been playing lots of WoW, we found a guild of queer communists to join so we’ve been playing through the Legion area to level new characters. Before that we did the Pandaria Remix and I leveled a paladin for the first time which is super fun
Also playing Another Crab’s Treasure (Crab Souls) which is adorable but also the planet is dying. Explicitly anti-capitalist game which I didn’t know going into it I was just looking for Crab Souls
Emulated Pokémon on my phone, Volt White 2 a romhack
just beat DOOM 2016 tonight. Was really fun slaying demons with a shotgun. 9/10
I'm gonna gonna go full weeb for the next several weeks/months and start Trails into Reverie this week. Reverie is the epilogue of the Trails of Cold Steel 1-4 story arc. Then the next story arc starts with Trails Through Daybreak which is releasing next month so I'm gonna play that after Reverie. So I have about 200+ hours of anime RPGs to play lol
Hell yeah, Trails.
the mod save our ship 2 recently updated for rimworld. it's basically an entire game on top of rimworld. it has a really satisfying game loop that's basically "fight enemy ships of slowly increasing difficulty, pacify and disassemble or weld them to your ship, upgrade and research, repeat". eventually you will either have a cobbled together mesh of useful chunks of spacecraft or your own sleek battlecruiser.
and you can just start in space and avoid the whole "start a colony on the surface and eventually build a ship". i mod the game so i start out as a spacer-tech faction with custom biopunk crew
i have no idea why it's so compelling. rimworld itself is seeming increasingly more limited compared to dwarf fortress but this mod is a game changer (ha)
i'm basically building the Defiant right now
Worms Armageddon and Enlisted are my current games of choice. Also currently playing through and making an episode for smbx
Started playing Catherine: Full Body with my friend on Saturday. Trying to beat all the time trial ghosts in the Mario Kart 8 DX DLC tracks. After that I wanna' start playing all the Final Fantasy 15 stuff, I think. I'd like a big-ass game to take my mind off stuff.
I just fired up Rings of Saturn because it had an update and I hadn't played it in a while. It ran all damn day on the computer. I played it for a few hours of that. It's pretty addictive
Hell Let Loose, i need to delete it. Such a timesink
Darkest Dungeon 2 (going for the Grand Slam Achievement) and some Baldur's Gate 3 with my partner.
- Stardew Valley with a friend, I think we're mostly done Ginger Island but then it's onto perfection and I'm not sure he wants to go through that grind
- Monster Hunter Rise with three friends but always only one at a time lol. Weirdly the game lets you start Master Rank before finishing High Rank. For some reason Teostra seems really hard compared to how I remembered him in World.
- Soulstone Survivors is my podcast game at the moment. Per the name, it's a Vampire Survivors knockoff that regretfully has aiming. The new patch was pretty cool, and seems to have made it a lot less grindy; I've gone from getting 5 levels per game to 50+.
- Deep Rock Galactic with a friend. New season started, two new mission types. Not a huge fan of the deep scanning one, seems like it kind of requires a driller while I prefer being able to choose whatever (also we only ever play 2 player which restricts it further)
- Victoria 3. Almost done a Colombia game, where I (historically accurately) control the Arabian peninsula, Japan, and half of Indochina. Currently in 3rd place prestige ranking, and my communist economy is only sustained via bankroll from the UK, US, and France. Cooperative Ownership is waaaaaaaaaay worse than Laissez-Faire now, at least until your GDP gets so high the investment pool might as well not exist.
Im just waiting for Age of Wonders 4 : Eldritch Realms.
I was planing of doing a rerun of Elden Ring to refresh and get ready for the DLC, but the friends I was going to play with (probably with seamless coop) won’t be able to get the DLC on release, so I’ll probably get back to FFXIV for the expansion.
the longest journey. always wanted to see how long it is
